Nintendo Gaming / GCN-GBA Connectivity: who cares?
« on: May 17, 2003, 11:49:38 AM »
I don't like the connectivity right now but the mini games at e3 are interesting.  They should put those three games(Pac-man, Tetra's tracker and Four Swords) on on disk and sell it because they arn't worth 50 a piece.

I don't think it is replacing online play.
I think we may see online play from nintendo in the future. It seems every time they talk about it it becomes more of a posibility so i think they are working on something and hopefully they will do it right.

About packing the gba player in with the gcn i wonder if that will be only for the black gamecubes unless they decided to make purple Gba Players(hopefully they did).

« on: April 01, 2003, 01:43:26 PM »
I don't have progressive scan but i have a question about that.  do you have to hold B button everytime you play or just the first time you use the cable or game.

Nintendo Gaming / gamecube audio - such thing as optical or coax?
« on: April 01, 2003, 02:17:06 AM »
I wish they did but recievers don't have an extra optical input to use for a game system.
it would be cool because then you could get true rear channels and an LFE channel.

Nintendo Gaming / Games with "hidden" loading times
« on: April 01, 2003, 02:12:37 AM »
Another hidden loading time that is on all games is when you turn the GCN on and the symbol unfolds

Animal crossing has no loading time, you can take out the disk after you turn it on and still play.

Nintendo Gaming / GameCube Controller Question
« on: March 24, 2003, 12:34:36 PM »
i've noticed that the anolog sticks and the B buttons wear down on the original batch of controllers like the ones that came with the cube if you got it right when it came out.
I have 5 controllers, 4 regular, 1 wavebird,  my first two are pretty bad but my other 3 (including the wavebird) are fine and i use them more too.

Nintendo Gaming / The real way to get Mario Bros. on AC
« on: March 24, 2003, 12:24:14 PM »
In the recent issue on Nintendo Power (volume 167) on page 123 they have an ad for the Animal Crossing E-Reader cards volume 3 and in the bottom right it says that in volume 4 (which will be released in may it says there will be a card that give you the Mario Bros. NES game.

I don't think this is a big enough reason for me to go out and buy an E-reader and start collecting cards.  (Horrid thoughts of Pokemon and all the wasted money)
