Goal: See the end credits for all of these.
Progress Since Last Update: Playing through Eternal Darkness
Wow. I have hardly played anything from my list over the past two weeks. Lucky for me, I’m at the start of a very long vacation from work at the moment which will last most of August. Hopefully that will give me some time (and some drive!) to get through these freakin’ games!

As I mentioned at the tail end of my post last time, I started playing through Eternal Darkness. I was about at the one hour point at the time of my last post and now I’ve just gotten past the third chapter and have put a little over two hours into the game. For a game that is over ten years old it still holds up, even though the visuals are definitely a little blocky and strange-looking through modern eyes. What I really remember liking all those years ago when I first played the game was the combat and even now I am still enjoying it. I like having the ability to aim at different body parts of enemies and it can feel really satisfying to lop off their arms or heads when they’re coming at you.
I’ve been a little derailed as of late with New Super Mario Bros. 2 and Oni Training coming out on the 3DS recently here in Japan, so that’s part of my excuse as to why I have been neglecting my backlog. At this point, I plan to keep these new purchases separate from this backlog list as the titles there are things that I’ve been meaning to get through for quite a long time. I think that if I really get on it, I can probably beat Eternal Darkness within a week, maybe even less than that if I really go crazy. After finishing that, I plan on moving on to Goldeneye 007 on the Wii. On episode 44 of Connectivity, it was suggested to me that I should play through it. I’m a pretty big fan of shooters, and from what little bit I’ve played of it already, I can see myself enjoying it and beating it rather quickly.
