Sure, I can be optimistic about this. It's not like I need to sleep, right?
Current Backlog Size: 44 Wii games
Goal: Complete all those nagging 100% save file challenges.
Progress Since Last Update: N/A
I usually try my best to at least
attempt to play every game I get, and many of the games on my list
are ones that I've actually completed to some degree. Unfortunately
being the obsessive-compulsive completionist that I am, they're not
games that I've finished properly
in my opinion. If I haven't tracked down every secret item or seen
the hidden ending or any other unnecessary and needlessly
difficult-to-obtain piece of material that the developers have put in
the game, how can I be happy and move on? I can't, and this is why my
backlog is so absurdly large.

Some of the games on my list are almost there. I've been playing Smash Bros. since it launched, and completed every single challenge mission except for one, requiring me to pick up the last five stickers I need. Five! Once I have those, I'll get the final trophy for collecting all stickers, the final challenge will be complete, and I can finally say I've mastered that behemoth of a game.
Other games I bought due to their significant rarity in Australia like Harvest Moon Animal Parade, which had all but sold out within a month of its extremely limited release, and then I never found the time to even remove the shrinkwrap. It shames me to say I've only played around half an hour of Epic Mickey and Okami, games I'd been looking forward to playing for so long. It's been such a long time since I played them, as well, that I've completely forgotten the opening stories and I might as well just start from scratch on those.
Of course, this isn't my entire list, but there are some tasks I've deemed completely beyond my skill. I've seen the first ending of Rayman Origins, but getting that far was plenty frustrating enough without needing to get to the Land of the Livid Dead. I'm happy with my 200% completion on Donkey Kong Country Returns, but there's no way I'll ever get all those shiny gold Time Trial medals.
Since Carmine is excluding Virtual Console, WiiWare and 3DS games from his list, I'll do the same for the sake of this mission; Nay, I'll do one more. I've got a backlog of games waiting to be popped into my dust-collected Xbox 360 that I've been wanting to try, but I find myself just enjoying my Wii a whole lot more – they can take the back seat for the next few months. Heck, if I included my old backlog of GameCube games as well, my list would be well over 70 titles!
This task wouldn't be so daunting if it weren't for the fact that I'm both recovering from surgery and preparing to move overseas in the near future. I wonder if I should also include “lose 40 pounds on Wii Fit” in my objective just to add extra stress?
