Europeans can choose between white and yellow this Christmas.
Two new Nintendo 3DS XL limited edition colours will be on sale soon across Europe.
The first of the two White 3DS XL bundles launches November 7, and includes Mario Kart 7 installed on the system's internal memory. The second White bundle launches November 30 and comes with Super Mario 3D Land installed.

Old Navy will be awarding free copies of New Super Mario Bros. U to customers on November 23 who spend more than $40 on merchandise in their store. The promotion will only be available to a limited number of customers.

Get freaky with this sneaky update.
An update to Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive has been released.
The update brings compatibility between Freakyforms and Freakyforms Deluxe, allowing the user to share Formees between both games, though the use of Formees from Deluxe is limited in the original.
Formees can also be shared in Deluxe by loading a picture of a QR code instead of scanning it, similar to upcoming eShop game Crashmo/FallBlox.

Nintendo launches the Wii U on its own turf for a change.
Nintendo is gearing up to hold its midnight console launch celebration for the Wii U at the Nintendo World Store, located in Manhattan.
The celebration will take place on November 17 from 6 p.m. to midnight, when systems will officially go on sale. Some of the festivities include Mii costumed characters, item giveaways, and a guest appearance from Nintendo President & COO Reggie Fils-Aime.

Check out the first details on the Wii U eShop straight out of Japan.
The Wii U eShop, available in an update when the system launches, will feature game demos and HD videos, according to Nintendo Co., Ltd.'s official website.
It is unclear if every game will have a demo, but the page does say that demos will be available. The HD-quality videos and images will also be on the eShop, highlighting different games. Those videos and images can be viewed on the GamePad.

Not everything will be available out of box.
Features such as Miiverse, Nintendo TVii, Nintendo eShop, and Wii U Chat will be unavailable on the Wii U until users install an update, which will be made available on launch day.
Systems that are currently out there lack these features, but will have access to them soon. Whether this day-one update will also come with other surprises is currently unknown.

Adding another Japanese term to Nintendo lore in other regions.
The main screen of Miiverse, featuring Miis lingering around icons of games and applications, will be called WaraWara Plaza in all regions, according to recent Nintendo Directs.
At E3 2012, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata revealed the area was called Mii WaraWara during development because of, as Nintendo of America's Bill Trinen put it, "how the crowd of Mii characters murmured and moved about."

Nintendo said 23 games were hitting launch in late September. Well, we're up to 24 now.
Tank! Tank! Tank! is coming to Wii U at the system's launch on November 18, according to Namco Bandai's Denny Chiu during a recent video with Giant Bomb.
Previously listed as a November release in Nintendo of America's launch lineup press release, the game's inclusion with the launch lineup bumps the number of launch retails from 23 to 24. Publisher Namco Bandai is also releasing Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Wii U Edition at launch.

New Nintendo content isn't just limited to your Wii U.
Nintendo's eShop and Miiverse services will be available on both computers and phones in 2013, according to the most recent Nintendo Direct.
Nintendo previously mentioned plans to bring the Miiverse service to other platforms, and has previously made note that it would probably not become available at the systems launch.

A singing package called Nintendo JoySound Wii Karaoke U will come pre-installed on Wii U consoles in Japan. The application, which is a joint effort between karaoke service provider Xing and Nintendo, allows players to enjoy over 90,000 songs in the comfort of their own homes.
