There's online multiplayer! But someone still has to carry a bucket.
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles will arrive on the Nintendo Switch this Winter. Not just a remake of the GameCube classic, the new version of Crystal Chronicles will also add online multiplayer. This is in contrast to the hoops that GameCube players had to jump through for the original due to the requirement for additional Game Boy Advance systems and GBA-GC Transfer cables for each player.

The Xbox 360 RPG goes portable right now.
Square Enix's 2008 RPG The Last Remnant Remastered is available now on Nintendo Switch following its PlayStation 4 release in 2018.
Originally released on Xbox 360 in 2008, The Last Remnant might be most notable for being the first Square Enix game on the Unreal Engine. Made internally at Square Enix, the turn-based RPG was directed by Hiroshi Takai, who is best known for his work on the SaGa series.

Watch that first step, it's a doozy.
The gravity warping platformer Etherborn finally has a release date.
The Kinda Funny Games Showcase has announced that Etherborn will release on Switch July 18. Etherborn is a 3D exploration game whose platforms have odd gravity, somewhat reminiscent of Mario Galaxy.
One of the first games funded by the 20th Century Fox indie game fund, Etherborn was announced for Switch earlier this year and has had more than four years of development.

A split screen twin stick shooter where you have to survive to score.
The Kinda Funny Showcase had a shadowdrop for the Switch.
A Duel Hand Disaster: Trackher is now available on the eShop for US $9.99. Originally beginning development in 2015, Trackher is a twin stick shooter where the screen is split between destroying enemies on the left, and extracting resources on the right. Players will have to control both ships, only one of which takes damage.

The 3DS is still getting new games for it, surprisingly enough.
Limited Run Games is adding the 3DS to its platform library, starting with a meaty game pack.
The boutique distributor has revealed a collection of Atooi games for the 3DS in their E3 presentation. No release dates were given, but the pack will include: Mutant Mudds Deluxe, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge, Bomb Monkey, Xeodrifter, and Chicken Wiggle.

Oh my pantheon.
The gods must be crazy, and it'll be time to settle them down early next year.
Gods & Monsters is a new open world game for Switch announced at Ubisoft's E3 presentation. Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, the lead studio on Assassin's Creed Odyssey, it is due for a February 25 launch.
The lead character, Fenyx, is charged with saving the Isle of the Blessed from the fearsome Typhon, slaying multiple beasts of myth along the way.

We seemingly say this every year, but that is NOT a typo.
Just Dance 2020 is going to make history.
Ubisoft's annual dancing game will launch in November 2019, and will come out on Switch and Wii. Unlike prior years, a Wii U version will not be available, but the Wii version can be played on it.

Is it still true that you can beat the game in five minutes?
Switch will soon be home to another seminal adventure game.
realMyst: Masterpiece Edition, a remastered edition of the 1993 adventure classic Myst, has been announced for a Switch release by Limited Run Games in the third quarter (July - September) of 2019. Unlike the original Myst, realMyst features real time 3D graphics as opposed to the point and click graphics of the original game.

From Dreams Uncorporated and SYCK, this beautifully animated turn-based RPG popped up at E3.
Cris Tales is coming to Switch in 2020 after being shown at the E3 2019 PC Gaming Show.
A self-professed love letter to classic JRPGs, the Modus Games-published project follows the heroic Crisbell who travels between the past, present, and future to save her world. The turn-based battle system is focused around a time magic mechanic that can change the enemy turn order.

We don't know when Cadence of Hyrule will hit aside from Japan, but we do know the North American price.
Nintendo's game list has tagged the US and Canadian versions of the rhythm roguelike at $24.99/$31.49 respectively. The date is still given as June 2019.

So I left the bold text back home when I came down for E3. Whoops. There isn't very much available this week, and most of it is "that doesn't work for me, brother": a Leisure Suit Larry game, a game from a company who doesn't appear to know that a site not showing up when you Google it is VERY VERY BAD, and so on.

The Devolver Direct was its usual wacky self.
In addition to ripping off their own games and a Enter the Gungeon arcade machine, Devolver announced a "reverse horror" title in their pre-E3 show.
Carrion was revealed in today's "Devolver Direct" for a 2020 release. The 2D platformer features a malevolent entity who stalks a facility scaring all of the NPCs.

Continue the story of The Messenger on July 11 as the Picnic Panic expansion launches.
Revealed in the Devolver Digital E3 Press Conference 2019, the collection of levels features news challenges, characters, music, and more. The story takes the titular ninja warrior to Voodkin Island for a weird and wild new adventure. It takes place at the end of the main game.

Why would you want to be a demon?
Doom Eternal is blasting home in November.
The followup to the 2016/17 Doom reboot will be available on November 22. A limited edition will be available with a working Doom helmet, though it will not be offered with the Switch version.
During a look at the game at Bethesda's pre E3 stream, a new 2v1 multiplayer mode called "Battlemode". Two demons will face a third player controlling the Doomslayer and have to attempt to survive.

We'll be seeing Switch Blades this fall from Bethesda.
Elder Scrolls Blades, the free to play game announced by Bethesda last year, will launch on Switch this fall. Progression from the mobile version, launching tonight, can be brought to Switch.

You'll be able to manage your own afterlife ferry and care for spirit friends on Nintendo's hybrid console in 2020.
Spiritfarer, the newly revealed "cozy management game about dying" from Thunder Lotus Games, is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Revealed at the Microsoft E3 2019 Press Conference, the game features hand drawn art from a 2D sideways perspective as the player manages their own ferry to the afterlife, befriending and caring for spirit friends during the journey. The game is slated for a 2020 release.
