According to our sources deep inside Nintendo, the US Gamecube release is October 2001. They have completely denied all rumors, and have stated that,"Gamecube will be released October 2001".

It's NEVER too early...

...unless my local one is some sort of weird exception, you can put down a mere ten bucks to guarantee yourself a GameCube at Software Etc. XBox, too. Oddly enough, there were XBox ads all over, and nary a GameCube one to be found. Peculiar. Anyway, get out there and guarantee yourself a GameCube without putting down the entire amount of some insane speculative price, dig it?

As much as loyalists may complain about some of Nintendo's business decisions, it's hard to argue with the bottom line. According to a Reuters news story, Nintendo is expected to post a nice profit for the period from April to September. Compare this to Sony and Sega and it becomes clear that Nintendo really knows what they're doing in the game industry.
