The GBA launch is just 2 days away! Here's a very intense look at it from the business standpoint.

It seems like this week in Japan, all eyes are on Nintendo to score big with the launch of the Game Boy Advance. Is Nintendo on the road to clean up? Read on....

TOKYO, March 19 (Reuters) - Japan's Nintendo Co Ltd is set to ignite the biggest battle yet in the video game market with its long-awaited launch on Wednesday of Game Boy Advance, successor to the world's top-selling Game Boy handheld machine.

The GBA launch is almost upon us (especially so in Japan) and Majesco's going to help Ed try one early.

Thanks to Majesco and their Editor's Day event, I'll be getting a chance to play the Gameboy Advance even before my Japanese import arrives. I'm especially eager to try Iridion 3d, which has looked beautiful in the movies I've seen. Hopefully all their games will look and play well so I can be in GBA nirvana for an hour or two. Well, GDC is going to be going into full effect in a few hours, it's about time Ed put up some pre-show thoughts.

SK's president hints at future GBA support.

In a recent post at IGN's message boards, Silicon Knights president Denis Dyack, who reportedly may one day be Louie's father-in-law, mentioned that his company is looking into GBA development.

"Hey Denis, I was wondering what you think of the GBA and also does SK have any plans to develop for it."

What is Broken Saints? What does it have to do with GameCube? What's going on behind the scenes? Louie knows.

The online comic Broken Saints has some kind of connection to Nintendo GameCube.

What! Early? Nintendo to break the date?

According to EAGB, retailers in Hong Kong and Singapore have already recieved their GBA's. But looks like the Nintendo Police want no date breakers....

A check with a Hong Kong source and a Singapore supplier, confirms that the GameBoy Advance is already here in Hong Kong and Singapore but Nintendo agents here have been given strict warnings not to release it until the 21st or risk losing their distributorship.

The Tokyo Game Show will be the place to be if you're looking for GBA love...

A whopping 59 GBA titles will be shown at this years Tokyo Game Show. 59 titles! Actually it's the second highest amount of games for a system. Playstation (why?) is #1 with 82 titles. Playstation 2 is #3 with 45 titles on display. Only 2 N64 titles will be on display.

The Spring Tokyo Game Show begins March 30th.

The upcoming prequel chapter to the Resident Evil series was announced as an N64 exclusive. Now that it's NGC, will it still feature this coveted status?

Despite recent plans to bring its big titles to all next-gen platforms, Capcom plans to keep Resident Evil: 0 a "Nintendo exclusive" RE-game.

The Mario games are coming out of order on the GBA.

It seems that Mario Advance 2 will be a remake of Super Mario World. Earlier, it was confirmed that Nintendo would be making a remake of SMB3 as well. Interestingly, Nintendo is not releasing the games in logical order, saving SMB3 for later. Expected to be released this year, we will have more information as it becomes available.

So which GBA games got the highest reviews? It's probably not what you think.

Famitsu has given out this weeks Dendo titles (hall of fame) and it's interesting to see where each of the GBA titles came in.

All of a sudden, the snowboarding title "Amped" for Microsoft's X-Box is looking more and more like Vaporware as screenshots are proven to be doctored.

The main screenshot in question is a close-up of one of the boarders. It looks incredibly detailed, as a matter of fact, a little too much so ...

Yamauchi said this morning, "I pity the fool who thinks we'll have a late launch!" And then he said,"Well maybe in Japan there might be a delay." We gots tha' juice.

In an interview today, Yamauchi stated that everything is still on schedule for the Japanese and US launch of GameCube.

He also said that they will be upping GBA production by 100,000 units due to the huge demand for the new portable powerhouse.

Japanese pre-sales for the unit have reached 2.7 million at the end of January.

Looks like Nintendo is planing the GameCube for the long haul.

IGN has received a leaked version of the GameCube SDK (System Development Kit) documentation. According to this SDK info, the GameCube will have the possibility of expanding it's amount of ARAM (Auxiliary RAM). Currently, the GameCube's ARAM is at 16MB. This number could be expanded to 48MB though. This means that the total system RAM could reach 75MB.
