The Playstation 2 series is getting the HD treatment on the Wii U.
Yakuza 1&2 HD, a remake of the Playstation 2 titles, is set to hit Wii U from Sega on August 8. The game will be available as physically for 5,229 yen and digitally on the eShop for 4,700 yen.

Mario, Sonic, and the gang come to Sochi to compete!
A new entry of the Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series has been announced for the Wii U at the latest Nintendo Direct.
The game will be greatly enhanced due to the Wii U's additional power, and also feature brand new games that takes advantage of using the gamepad in unique ways, as well as the Wii Remote plus, such as Curling, Doubles Figure Skating, and more.

EA does not have any games currently in development on Wii U, said EA representative Jeff Brown.

Super Star, Dream Course, and Dream Land 3 coming on the 23rd!
Kirby Super Star, Kirby's Dream Course, and Kirby's Dream Land 3 will be arriving on the Wii U's Virtual Console service next week. By doing some snooping on Nintendo.com's Game Database, you can see that they have added eShop profiles for the three games with a release date of May 23, which is next Thursday.

Have I told you before about how crazy that days lineup of downloads before, pretending I was buried beneath a pile of digital games? Well, turns out I'm a liar, because today is genuinely the craziest day I've ever had the pleasure to write up. The original 3DS gets yet another color in Japan, while two older ones bite the dust.
A new Nintendo 3DS color, called Metallic Red, is coming to Japan on June 13. The system comes with a 4 GB SDHC card and will retail for 15,000 yen. The new unit sports a more vibrant shade of red compared to the previously released Flare Red 3DS which was released in July 2011 and discontinued last fall.

Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures is coming to the Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, among other systems
Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures is based off an upcoming animated show on Disney XD of the same name. The Wii U game will see Pac-Man gobbling up Netherworld ghosts in a 3D environment, who are lead by Betrayus. A similar 2D side-scrolling version of the game will be on the 3DS.
