The name behind the popular video game brand has passed away.
Tom Clancy, the highly successful author and name behind many games, has passed away at 66 years old, the cause of death is unknown.
The Tom Clancy brand has been a huge gaming franchise for many years. Clancy was known for series such as Splinter Cell, Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon, many of which were published on Nintendo systems. Most recently, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist was released this past August on the Wii U.

Ganbarion went from action to fitness games.
Ganbarion, the team behind Pandora's Tower, is co-developing Wii Fit U according to the title screen shown at a recent demo.

There's a Virtual Console on 3DS? Well, you certainly wouldn't know it by looking at the last couple of Nintendo Downloads! We are, however, graced with the next entry in the Just Dance series, as well all three Final Fight games. So, burn off some extra calories dancing, then flop down on the couch for a snack-filled marathon of Final Fight. Seriously, those Mad Gear guys have it coming. What a bunch of jerks.

Toki Tori, Edge, and Rush will all be coming to the Wii U this year.
Two Tribes, the developer behind Toki Tori 2, are bringing three of their previously released games to the Wii U.
The first game coming in October is Toki Tori, the precursor to Toki Tori 2 is a puzzle platformer, Edge is a retro inspired 3D platformer, and Rush is a 3D puzzle game that has you helping cubes reach their given destination.

This previous Wii U exclusive will finally see the light of day.
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Director's Cut is releasing on the Wii U on October 22 in North America and October 25 in PAL regions.
Edios-Montreal also announce a new Deus Ex game for "next-gen" systems, although the Wii U wasn't specifically named.

Another indie coming to the Wii U.
A Kickstarter campaign has launched for Edge of Eternity, a new Space-JRPG from Midgar Studio.
Edge of Eternity is a turn-based RPG set in Heryon, a Steampunk/Medieval world in chaos after aliens invaded, spreading a virus that turns people and animals into metal monsters. After all of his kind have been turned into these monsters, the game’s hero, Daryon, embarks on an adventure to save his world.

Mighty No. 9 is indeed coming to the 3DS. The Kickstarter, which ended today, recently added a stretch goal of $3,500,000 for a 3DS version of the game, and in the last 24 hours of its campaign, that goal was reached.

Nintendo UK hopes to raise awareness for the console.
Nintendo will be working with Tesco, the UK’s largest supermarket chain, to increase focus on the Wii U. The company feels many consumers in the UK don’t recognize the Wii U as a separate system from the Wii and are working to change that view before the Christmas shopping season.

UPDATE: The Wii U Firmware update added new enhancements to the system. Wii Games can now be played on the GamePad, though you still need to control the games with Wii Remotes, etc., and Wii games now can output Dolby Pro Logic II. Mario Party: Island Tour is no longer coming to Europe in 2013, as reported by Nintendo of Europe today in a press release.
The official note from Nintendo states the following: ''Mario Party: Island Tour: Not announced in this latest Nintendo Direct, but in order to deliver the optimum gaming experience for fans, Mario Party: Island Tour will now launch in early 2014.''

You can take down titans with your own hands starting this winter.
Shingeki no Kyojin: Jinrui Saigo no Tsubasa (Attack on Titan: Last Wings of Humanity), a new titled based on the hit anime, is coming to the Nintendo 3DS on December 5 in Japan for 6,090 yen.
The game will feature a story mode that allows you to relive the main story playing as characters like Eren Jager or Mikasa Ackerman. Animated cutscenes from the anime are also featured throughout the game.

North Americans may have to wait until Q1 of 2014, but European and Japanese gamers can get this new version starting this December.
Bravely Default is coming to Europe on December 6 and the first quarter 2014 in North America on the Nintendo 3DS. In Europe, a special collector's edition will be available at launch and for those that pre-order will be able to receive an exclusive art book. This version of the game is enhanced from last year's Japanese release featuring a updated user interface, Japanese and English voice overs and new content.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds will “offer a brand new gameplay experience,” said Satoru Iwata, president of Nintendo, during this morning’s Nintendo Direct.

Kirby goes stereoscopic in 2014.
A new Kirby game has been revealed during this morning's Nintendo Direct video conference, scheduled to release some time next year.
The title looks to have many of the series staples, including Kirby's Copy ability, the super suction power seen in the Kirby's Return to Dreamland on Wii, and a new feature in which the puffball hero can travel forward and backward between level layers, similar to games like Donkey Kong Country Returns.
