A trifecta of awesome games are coming to the 3DS Virtual Console next week in Japan.
Akumajõ Dracula (Castlevania), Rock Man 4: Aratanaru Yabō (Mega Man 4), and Donkey Kong are all set to release on the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console next week on October 17 in Japan for 500 yen each.

Nintendo is pulling out all the stops with playable demos, tournaments and more.
Nintendo announced their New York Comic Con 2012 plans, featuring an array of Wii U and 3DS titles, along with other special events. From October 11 through October 14, attendees will have the opportunity to play various game demos, as well as participate in multiple activities and tournaments at the Javits Center.

Neko Entertainment's digital title, Puddle, is making its way to the Wii U eShop. Originally released on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and Vita, Neko Entertainment is addressing many issues that were raised upon its initial release early this year, and aims to release Puddle again in an improved form.

The first third party digital title will be delivered in a unique way to gamers in Japan.
The packaged retail version of the upcoming Japanese idol simulator for the Nintendo 3DS, AKB48+Me, will also include a digital version of the game, Kadokawa Games revealed. This marks the first third party title to offer a digital 3DS game, and the first time that the digital version is included with the packaged release.

An award-winning composer is providing a "visceral hybrid action score" for the Wii U launch game.
Renowned video game composer, Cris Velasco, is scoring the soundtrack for Wii U launch title, ZombiU.
Velasco, a winner at the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Awards and a BAFTA nominee, has music credits on franchises such as the God of War trilogy, the Mass Effect games, Borderlands and Darksiders, to name a few.

The Nintendo 3DS eShop title 3D Classics: Urban Champion is now available as a Club Nintendo reward for 150 coins until Oct. 21, 2012.

It's still technically in Wii U's launch window, but Rayman's Wii U debut is not coming out in 2012.
Rayman Legends, a Wii U exclusive sequel to Rayman Origins, is getting a slight delay to Q1 2013.

Just what is the new content Shin'en promised for this eShop re-release?
The website for Shin'en Multimedia's upcoming eShop release of Nano Assault, dubbed Nano Assault EX, gave out a few details of the title's new content. Circle Pad Pro support is being added, as is an online leaderboard, and a "survivor mode," for which they provided no further details. Shin'en also promised improved visuals and gameplay.

Without revealing actual numbers, Reggie Fils-Aime told Kotaku that Xenoblade Chronicles sold "quite well" for Nintendo. The title, a Japanese role-playing game from Monolith Soft, was sold only through GameStop and Nintendo's online store in North America.
As for The Last Story, Xseed's Jessica Chavez said that it continues to sell "really well" and hopes for it to do the same moving forward.

Skylanders Giants will run in 1080p when it launches on Wii U, revealed Karthik Bala, co-studio head of Vicarious Visions in an interview with Nintendo World Report.
