The Forgotten Sands is set between the events of The Sands of Time and Warrior Within.

Ubisoft has announced that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands will be released in May 2010 for all gaming systems, Wii and DS included. Its story will take place between The Sands of Time and Warrior Within, presenting new characters and powers for the Prince. While visiting his brother's kingdom, the Prince discovers that the palace is under siege; he then embarks on a journey to save his brother's kingdom.

The unique DSiWare title will place players in the heat of the action.

Nintendo has announced a new DSiWare title called Fight with Photos: Photo Fighter X. The title features a unique concept that has players using the DSi cameras to take digital pictures of themselves and others in various fighting poses, and then adding them as playable fighting characters. Players can also record vocal and sound effects and store up to eight custom fighters.

In celebration of the game's release in Japan, Nintendo will be featuring special Zelda-themed Flip Note animations.

With The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks about to be released in Japan, Nintendo will be featuring special Flip Note animations based on the Legend of Zelda as special promotion for the game's release.

Through a special Flip Note Hatena page, fans will be able to watch the first in a series if animated movies, "Sneaking for Treasure".

11 new games come your way, led by a boy searching for his frog and an earthworm named Jim.

New Wii Remote colors are among the highlights of Nintendo's release schedule.

Today Nintendo announced its release schedule for early 2010, along with an announcement of two new colors for the Wii Remote. Pink and Blue Wii Remotes will be available starting on Valentine's Day. These colors will be bundled with Wii MotionPlus.

After an early footage leak, the game is confirmed at the Spike TV VGAs.

Harmonix has announced that the next Rock Band title will be Green Day: Rock Band. At tonight's Spike TV Video Game Awards, the band themselves announced the game. A video was shown that featured Rock Band avatars styled as members of the band playing the song "American Idiot", while a "Green Day: Rock Band" logo was displayed.

Mario unsurprisingly walks away with an award, and a few other games for Nintendo platforms score as well.

The 2009 Spike Video Game Awards were held tonight in Los Angeles, California. While the lion's share of the trophies were taken home by PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC juggernauts like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Dragon Age: Origins, Nintendo themselves walked away with one trophy, and several games for Nintendo platforms won awards as well.

Rubber Soul becomes the third downloadable album for The Beatles: Rock Band.

MTV Games and Harmonix have announced that Rubber Soul will be the third album to be available for The Beatles: Rock Band as downloadable content on the game's music store.

The colorful fighting franchise invades DSiWare.

Through a Japanese video podcast called Buru Raji, a new BlazBlu game has been confirmed for release on DSiWare in Japan. Titled BlazBlu Battle X Battle, the game will star cute and small versions of the franchise's lead characters in a series of 3D free roaming battles. Up to four players can participate through wireless play.

Nintendo will only showcase the latest Mario title at the event.

A special Nintendo Jump Festa Page has confirmed that Nintendo will only have one game to demo at the event: New Super Mario Bros. Wii. Visitors to Nintendo's booth will be able to try out some of the game's levels with up to three other players, highlighting the game's multiplayer features.

The newest Wii Tales game impresses with its first day sales.

Japanese retail site Sinobi has confirmed that the latest game in the Tales series, Tales of Graces, sold 113,000 copies in its first day of release.

In comparison to earlier Tales series release on Wii, this is the second best selling title. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World sold 120,000 copies in its first day, 151,000 copies in its first week, and 212,000 copies overall.

Warner Bros. Interactive and Traveler's Tales have released a new trailer for the upcoming Lego game, Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4.

The game, similar in look to the previous Lego game, will have players playing through the first four Harry Potter stories and experiencing some of the major events as well as face off against the villains.

The Nintendo VP talks about the sales and marketing of Chinatown Wars.

In an interview with MTV Multiplayer, Nintendo Vice President of Marketing and Sales Cammie Dunaway said that the sales of Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for the DS were "frustrating" and that the game should continue to receive marketing support from the publisher. "The old dynamic of throw it on TV for a few weeks and forget it isn't going to work, because new consumers are coming in all the time," Dunaway said.

November's NPD numbers show strong sales for Nintendo consoles and software, and Mario is actually doing better than advertised.

Despite a downturn in video game console sales from November 2008, the Wii and DS sold well in November 2009, sitting atop the hardware sales chart. New Super Mario Bros. Wii also hit a sales milestone.

The new game from HI Games will sharpen your dinosaur-dodging skills.

Yesterday HI Games announced a new DSiWare title that will use the built-in camera to perform motion sensing using the Motion Cortex engine from Realeyes3D.

The game does not use any buttons, but instead has you tilting the DSi to avoid a bite from a charging dinosaur. The touch screen uses arrows to give you an indication as to which way you should flick the system.

Nintendo's handheld beats PlayStation 2's sales records as it passes the 10 million mark.

MCV has confirmed that the Nintendo DS has surpassed the 10 million sold mark, with the official number being 10.5 million handhelds. This makes it the best-selling gaming system in United Kingdom history. The milestone happened in the system's 47th week at retail. The previous record holder was Sony's PlayStation 2, which to date has sold 10.2 million systems.

The sports title will use MotionPlus and the Your Shape camera for realistic sports action.

Ubisoft has announced a new game for Wii called Racquet Sports. The title will include tennis, ping pong, badminton, squash and beach tennis.

The game will be compatible with MotionPlus for more accurate swing movement, as well as Ubisoft's motion-tracking camera (bundled with the recently released Your Shape). Players will be able to participate in party and championship modes.

Move gives Sunsoft the ability to re-release, or even remake, all titles ever created by the defunct publisher.

After last week's announcement that they were bringing their classic title Blaster Master back on Virtual Console, Sunsoft followed it up this week with even bigger news. The company announced today that they have acquired the entire game library - including intellectual property rights – of defunct Japanese publisher Nihon Telenet.

The game will have you touching and/or singing the night away.

Konami has revealed information about an upcoming rhythm game for DS called Utacchi. The title, which combines the Japanese words for "touch" and "sing" will support up to four players. The game will have you focusing on something called the "Tacchii," interacting by either touching or singing.
