New Wii Remote colors are among the highlights of Nintendo's release schedule.

Today Nintendo announced its release schedule for early 2010, along with an announcement of two new colors for the Wii Remote. Pink and Blue Wii Remotes will be available starting on Valentine's Day. These colors will be bundled with Wii MotionPlus.

Several titles were given firmer launch dates. Endless Ocean: Blue World will launch on Wii on February 22, and will feature use of WiiSpeak. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is set to release on January 26. No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle has a window of late January, but no confirmed date.

On DS, Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver will be launching on March 14. WarioWare D.I.Y., which lets you construct your own micro-games, will launch along with America's Test Kitchen: Let's Get Cooking on March 28. Glory of Heracles will launch on January 18.

Below is the press release from Nintendo with the full lineup.

NINTENDO UNVEILS ITS VIDEO GAME LINEUP FOR EARLY 2010

Hand-Held Pokémon Adventures and New Wii Remote Colors are on the Way

REDMOND, Wash., Dec. 14, 2009 - Consumers nationwide continue to snap up Nintendo products for the holidays, and Nintendo is poised to carry that momentum into 2010. Dozens of games for the Wii™, Nintendo DS™ and Nintendo DSi™ systems are on the way in a wide range of categories from both Nintendo and its third-party partners.

To bring a little color to the winter months, Nintendo will release two new colors for its Wii Remote™ controller. Starting Feb. 14, the controller will come in Pink or Blue and will be bundled with a Wii MotionPlus™ accessory. Along with the current White and Black versions of the controller, now every player in four-player matches can have his or her own color.

"During the holidays, tens of millions of Americans are going to spend enjoyable hours with both Wii and Nintendo DS," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "And the enjoyment will only grow in the early weeks of 2010, whether your taste in gaming comes from exploring ocean depths, catching, training and battling Pokémon or even designing your own micro-games."

On the Wii console, Endless Ocean™: Blue World arrives on Feb. 22 to provide players with an adventurous and educational experience, complete with underwater exploration, an adventurous storyline and Wii Speak™ compatibility. This January also sees the highly anticipated release of Tatsunoko VS. Capcom™: Ultimate All-Stars. Available exclusively on Wii, this new VS. series fighting game features global online game play for those who have access to a broadband Internet connection.

On the portable side, Nintendo's hand-held systems will see the arrival of a number of diverse games, including the eagerly awaited Pokémon™ HeartGold Version and Pokémon™ SoulSilver Version on March 14. Pokémon HeartGold Version and Pokémon SoulSilver Version allow fans to return to the scenic Johto region first introduced in the beloved Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver games. The games have been fully enhanced with rich graphics, updated sound, new touch-screen controls and much more.

On March 28, WarioWare D.I.Y.™ lets users design their own micro-games from scratch and share them with other WarioWare D.I.Y. owners via a broadband Internet connection and Nintendo® Wi-Fi Connection. Every element, such as the characters, the environment, the actions and even the purpose of the micro-game itself, can be created entirely by the player. Also on March 28, hungry gamers can dig into America's Test Kitchen: Let's Get Cooking, which gives family members the chance to prepare 300 different dishes together. All of the recipes and the how-to videos in the game were created by the popular public television show America's Test Kitchen.

On Jan. 18, Glory of Heracles™ introduces U.S. role-playing fans to the popular Japanese franchise. The game is inspired by Greek mythology and written by Kazushige Nojima of Final Fantasy fame. The traditional role-playing game features an engrossing story and a robust battle system.

Below is a partial list of upcoming packaged and downloadable games for the Wii, Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi systems. Note that game titles and launch dates are subject to change.

New colors eh? I've yet to get a black wiimote/m+ combo... and I'm thinking of just skipping out on it all together. I already have 3 wiimotes, and I'm so ocd that having 1 black wiimote would drive me nuts, and I don't play enough multiplayer to justify getting at least a second black wiimote. Throwing other colors into the mix would just make it worse... I think it has to do with the wii console itself being so damn white... if it were black I wouldn't mind a black and white color controller set-up, or a mix of other colors, but against the wii white nothing else would really match.

Color me uninterested :P

KDR_11kDecember 14, 2009

I want a black+m+ combo too and a CC Pro, we usually have three people in front of the Wii when playing multiplayer and I only have one M+ so we can't play WSR in multiplayer at all.

BlackNMild2k1December 14, 2009

There should be a Black Wii with a complete Black Wiimote bundled (includes M+).
Black CC Pro should be sold separately along side it.

Nintendo is making me
My girl bought a Wii with a 90 day return policy because she is waiting for the Black Wii.
90 days is up in January and she is gonna return it and get a new one so she can renew the 90 day return policy while she waits for that Black Wii. Make it happen already Nintendo.

*continues waiting*

BeautifulShyDecember 14, 2009

Well I'm sure Mop_it_up is happy about about the Pink and Blue Wii remotes. I still only have 2 White remotes but I have Motion+ for both.

As for the lineup of games.
I am happy with Tatsunoko VS Capcom getting that date. No More Heroes 2 and Endless Ocean 2 and Pokemon Soul Silver is going to be great. Xseed has a few titles that I like.

NinGurl69 *hugglesDecember 14, 2009

Nintendo.com lists No More Matures 2 for Jan. 26, 2010.

There is misconnumication at Nintendo's.

Looks like we are finally getting that new Shantae game from Wayforeward.

This is also the first I have heard of Infinite Space having a release date so it is nice to know we are still getting that.

Sky Crawlers on the 5th of January is a lot sooner than I thought it would be.

I thought Endless Ocean 2 was out this year :reggie:

Do you mean "once again" as in, it's once again confirmed that the game will use Wii Speak? Because the original game did not.

What are you trying to do, prevent me from posting or something?

It's too bad that they're bundled with a useless accessory, I don't really understand that considering how few games use it and that all of them are bundled with it. I'm going to wait until I can get one on sale.

There's a lot of good stuff here, but WHERE IS SIN & PUNISHMENT 2? Why would NOA release it at least four months later in America vs. Japan?

I also need to see a CC Pro announcement! Or maybe I'll just import and screw NOA out of a sale.

What's funny is that they apparently have many other games set to be released in 2010 (Monado, Span Masher, Line Attack Heroes etc.), but can only release one title for the first few months of the year.

NOA is definitely messed up...

NinGurl69 *hugglesDecember 14, 2009

Nintendo is stepping back and giving 3rd parties a chance.  /haha?

So Endless Ocean 2 is Nintendo's game for the first part of 2010? Same shit, different year.

Maybe S&P2 will get the Excitebots treatment. Expect an announcement in late March with the game's release in April.

Thanks for keeping me on my toes.  Sorry for the factual error.  I'll revise the article to account for it.

TJ SpykeDecember 14, 2009

Um, why is Myst listed? It was already released by Midway back in December 2007. Is this a new game with the exact same name? Seems pretty lazy to not use a different name when there is already a DS game called "Myst".

StratosDecember 14, 2009

That would be stupid to not make it the same color.

Luigi DudeDecember 14, 2009

My guess on why Sin and Punishment 2 isn't coming out Q1 is because Nintendo isn't going to have any major titles for Q2 and so they're delaying it for then.  I mean, out of all the lesser known titles Nintendo showed at E3 (Monado, Span Masher, Line Attack Heroes, Endless Ocean 2) Sin and Punishment 2 is the most popular of the bunch.  Not to mention Reggie said a few weeks ago he'd like to give Sin and Punishment 2 a good advertising campaign, so I get the feeling NOA is going to make it their flagship title for Q2.

And before anyone mentions Mario Galaxy 2, I honestly doubt it'll come out in Q2, hell I'd be surprised if it comes out during Q3.  Unless Zelda Wii actually gets announced for a fall 2010 release, I fully expect Nintendo to make Galaxy 2 their holiday 2010 flagship title.

Unless of course, Nintendo actually feels that Metroid: Other M could carry the holiday season.  The best selling Metroid to date is the first Prime which came close to 3 million but not quite.  Mario Galaxy 1 has sold over 8 million copies.  Yeah, I don't see them making Other M the holiday title over Galaxy 2.  Unless of course Zelda Wii actually does come out in 2010.

those are remotes??

But seriously, I hope those white M+'s(& condoms) are just for the announcement pic. Nintendo should go all out and complete the color scheme, otherwise that's just cheap, lazy and ugly.
