Charles Martinet, the voice of Mario himself, is visiting both Sydney and Melbourne to promote Super Mario Sunshine, which is due out in Australia in a couple of weeks. Nintendo's setup a couple of special events where you can play Super Mario Sunshine, win events for prizes, and meet the man himself! Here's the locations of the special events from Nintendo:

ACTIVISION ANNOUNCES WRECKLESS: THE YAKUZA MISSIONS™ FOR THE NINTENDO GAMECUBE

As reported earlier, The Fall Tokyo Game Show will be held this coming weekend

in Tokyo. The official website now has a list of the names of 20 titles for

the GC that will be present at the show. Earlier this week, it was announced

THQ has wrapped up Cartoon Network title for GBA, and it's on the way to stores now. The cartoon is about a group of kids who are pledged to making the world more manly. The show is being created by the same people who made Ren & Stimpy for Nickelodeon several years ago. Here's the full press release:

According to Nikkei.NET, Nintendo is the number one company on the Nikkei for the first time in three years. Nikkei cited Nintendo's record profits and financial stability for it's excellent performance.

Reports are coming in this morning that Nintendo may have settled on a third-party manufacturer for its GameCube hardware. First International Computer (FIC) in Taiwan has apparently already shipped some of the GameCube consoles, and will ramp up production in the fourth quarter.

Nintendo Japan has posted two commercials on their Star Fox Adventures web site. Star Fox Adventures is scheduled to be released on the 27th in Japan. (U.S. release date is 23th) From the commercials, it looks like the voice acting will be in English, and like Mario Sunshine, the cut scenes will have Japanese subtitles. The downloads are below:

Famitsu reviews Disney’s Skateboarding for the GC and Super Mario Advance 3 for the GBA.

In the latest issue of Famitsu, Super Mario Advance 3 was awarded a silver mark with the score of 31 (8,8,7,8). The other GBA game, Samurai Evolution (Enix), received a score of 28 (7,8,7,6). The only GC title reviewed, Disney Sport’s Skateboarding, received a 29 (7,7,7,8)

Ha HA! If these don't beat the crap out of the Super Mario Sunshine commercials I don't know what does. Take a look!

Final Update: According to our Nintendo sources, Zelda is still on track for a February release. From what we've been told, Zelda is a lot further along than most believe, and could actually make the February release.
