Enter in a special code to get Genesect in your 'Dex!
Nintendo has added an entry for the legendary Pokémon Genesect into Pokédex 3D Pro, with no more than a minor mention via their regular email newsletter to subscribers.
The email simply says "Buy Pokédex 3D Pro and enter code PHSKUTDF to get Genesect!" What it doesn't specify is the process involved with entering the code. Never fear, NWR's got you covered.

The developer also hopes for an Australia and New Zealand release in late January.
The update to Trine 2: Directors Cut on Wii U is stuck in the submission process.
According to the blog of the Finnish game developer, Frozenbyte, the hope is the update for North America and Europe to see a release by the end of January. Also expected by the end of January is a release of the game in Australia and New Zealand.

Monster Hunter Tri will be losing its servers on April 30.
Revealed on the Capcom Unity blog, Monster Hunter Tri will cease to have online play exactly six weeks after the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate on Wii U and 3DS.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate releases on Wii U and 3DS March 19. The Wii U edition features online play.

The (squid) ink has dried on Ikachan's release papers.
Ikachan, the latest Nicalis port of a Daisuke "Pixel" Amaya game, has been confirmed for release on January 31, and carries a price tag of $4.99. The news comes from the 3DS eShop, and is only a confirmation of its version of the game. We can confirm that the DSiWare version will release at another date.

More retail games go digital in Japan!
EX Troopers and Rune Factory 4 for the Nintendo 3DS will see digital releases on the eShop on January 24 in Japan.
EX Troopers was originally released in Japan on November 22 for 5,990 yen, while Rune Factory 4 was released last summer on July 19 for 5,229 yen. The digital versions of the titles will be a little bit cheaper, with EX Troopers going for 5,300 yen and Rune Factory selling for 5,220 yen.

Are some of these games old enough to be considered retro?
Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D is one of many previously released retail titles coming to the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
In addition to Resident Evil, several other games are being brought to the digital service, including Disney/Pixar Finding Nemo: Escape to the Big Blue (January 17), Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Shadow Wars (January 24), and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell 3D (Q1). The Mercenaries is also set for a Q1 release.

Even the purple Pikmin could not carry the weight of the Wii U launch.
Four of 2013's big Wii U releases have been delayed.
Pikmin 3 along with The Wonderful 101, Game & Wario, and Wii Fit U were all originally scheduled to be a part of Nintendo’s Wii U launch window, but now have been delayed with the release date being “first half of the year.”
According to Nintendo, more launch information will become available at a later date.

ZombiU shares the Zombi name with Ubisoft's very first game, but the relationship ends
there.
According to Guillaume Brunier, producer of ZombiU, the game was already in development before the team realized the similarities between the two titles. Brunier reaffirms that ZombiU is not a remake of Zombi, but does joke that if this erroneous connection "helps ZombiU being a

A Yoshi Cleaning Cloth is now available as a Club Nintendo reward in North America for 400 coins. The 6x6 inch polyester cloth features Yoshi and Yoshi eggs.

The final Operation Rainfall title will indeed be published by Xseed Games.
Pandora’s Tower will be coming to North America in the spring of 2013. Nintendo has given Xseed Games the rights to publish the Wii title in the region.
Ganbarion developed Pandora’s Tower in conjunction with Nintendo while Nintendo handled the publishing of the title in every other major region in the world.

Is Nintendo bridging the divide between the handheld and the console divisions?
Nintendo is undergoing a significant reorganization, bringing their handheld and console hardware divisions into one studio according to a report from Japanese newspaper Nikkei. This is the first major restructuring of these divisions since 2004. The new combined division will be responsible for thinking into the future, beyond Wii U and 3DS, and helping Nintendo compete in a market with the growing distribution of smartphones and tablets.
