Both North America and the PAL territories are picking up a giant RPG, as Dragon Quest VIII finally comes to the West on 3DS and unencumbered by the Final Fantasy XII demo. If you're looking for something less intimidating on the retail front, then you can instead hang out with Poochy in Poochy and Yoshi's Woolly World - North America can preload the game + animated shorts, while the West get a demo.

The eShop in North America has a few intriguing titles this week including the Chinese-made Koi DX (originally on the PlayStation 4), the Punch Club opening enrollment on 3DS and Toby: The Secret Mine which Daan looked at a few months ago. On the Virtual Console front, do a somersault in joy as Star Fox 64 shows up to the VC party (fashionably late).

Europe has a slightly lighter slate, as Toby is the big non-DQ game there as well.
