Nintendo Downloads - January 12, 2017

It's beginning to look a lot like Switchmas.

It's a very light week on the new downloads front - almost as if developers had a reason to hold off. Both North America and Europe get a new puzzle game published by the fine folk at Choice Provisions - Shift DX, which Neal helpfully reviewed for us.

There's still a Virtual Console release for North America, as Europe's beta test on F-Zero X concluded to allow it across the pond. Given the lack of new F-Zero releases (or is that ending tonight...?) it's nice to get your X Cup and Death Race on sometimes. As a bonus, it's available for less if you snagged it for the Wii off Club Nintendo.

Europe trades F-Zero for the strategic sequel action of Mercenaries Saga 3.

Rayman Legends is on Sale!!!
That is a great game. If you don't have it yet, it'll carry you over till you get a switch

Is it just me or have most of the games in the January Digital Deals been on sale previously for lower prices?  Of the ones I own, I'm pretty sure I paid less than the current prices.

Yeah the sale is a bit underwhelming because these games have been cheaper before. Rayman Legends has been $10 at least once or twice.

Can vouch for Severed being pretty fantastic, and Octodad is a lot of fun, especially in multiplayer. Has anyone played The Swapper and/or Nova-111 here? Thoughts?

Ahhh F-Zero X. Brings back so many great memories! Thrilling racer and still holds up to this day  8)
