After a head-scratching delay of an entire season and a bit, North America finally gets Yoshi’s Woolly World this week on the eShop as the headliner for Wii U. It’s also sold at a discount compared to regular Wii U titles because of the Yarn Yoshi Amiibo, which melt even this writer’s icy heart. The retail stream is kicking up on the 3DS as well, with the release of Legend of Legacy and a couple of children’s titles, and Zelda and an extreme number of Butodens next week.

In download news, the 3DS has an intriguing sequel to the Petit Computer DSiWare titles in the form of SmileBASIC, if you feel like conquering the world with a simple bit of code. The Wii U gets an interesting sounding pinball game and Final Fight One – a complete edition of the SNES’s Final Fight for GBA with a restored stage – on the Virtual Console.

Meanwhile, in Europe… everything is happening. There’s permanent first party price drops, 3DS fighting games, enough themes to choke a horse and I swear there’s a DSiWare game. And it’s not even a GG Series game. Truly, this is the age of releases.

Namco Bandai titles have had an across the board price drop on the 3DS and Wii U: Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy+ (3DS), Pac-Man and the Ghostly Adventures 2 (both Wii U/3DS), One Piece Unlimited World Red (Wii U/3DS), Tenkai Knights Brave Battle (3DS) and Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Wii U) are all $19.99: One Piece Romance Dawn (3DS) is $29.99 (US)/$34.99 (Canada).

Atlus games will be on sale from October 19 - November 2: Etrian Mystery Dungeon and Etrian Odyssey IV are called out.
