Rayman Legends will release in the launch window, and a demo is also coming this week!

Ubisoft has confirmed that Rayman Legends for the Wii U will release February 26 in North America, February 28 in Australia and New Zealand, and March 1 in Europe and the UK.

The game was originally scheduled to release alongside the Wii U, but was delayed into 2013. These revised dates still place the game's release inside the launch window for Wii U.

A demo for Rayman Legends will release worldwide on December 13 for the Nintendo eShop as well.

Wonder if the demo will be the same one as on in-store units. I hope so. That is a very fun demo and shows off the game well. Playing that demo put this game on my must-buy list. Before, it wasn't even a consideration.

Eh, I hope not. The "Black Betty" level in that demo was cool and fun, but the standard Rayman level in it was pretty mediocre (and it only got worse once you freed Murray and the computer was given all the fun controlling Rayman while you were stuck flicking things with the touch screen).  If this is the Rayman demo that's in stores, there's no excuse for why that thing wasn't already in the eShop at launch.

Also, given how long it'll be until Rayman Legends actually releases, Nintendo would be wise to not do their usual "fixed number of plays" B.S. with that demo.

Unfortunately i see them setting it at 30 plays D:

Isn't max 30 on 3DS, you can't remove the limit, right?

I got to play the store demo several times, always with two players and we switched roles. I think I probably had the optimal experience. Hence why the demo sold me on the game.

Playing as Murray was a wonderful surprise and it added a different challenge in getting Rayman to collect  all the lums and secret areas indirectly. I enjoyed it more than I thought from the little info I read on it before I tried the demo.  I think people crapping on the single player touch Murray sections will change their tune once they get to sit down and really sink their teeth into the game.

Like Origins, I suspect you'll get the most out of this game by finding all the secret areas and collecting as many lums as possible in each stage. Can't wait till this demo arrives and the game proper releases next year.
