Bloomberg.com now has an article on the Rare situation adding to the list of mainstream media that have already picked up the Microsoft Buys Rare story. So, why even mention this? Well, there's actually a (very) brief quote from a Nintendo spokesman on the matter.

According to our sources inside Nintendo, Nintendo has officially sold its share of Rare to Microsoft. Last year, Nintendo had the opportunity to purchase the company, and refused. Rare put up the for sale sign and was looked at by both Microsoft and Activision. Microsoft won the bidding war, and Nintendo cut its ties with Rare. That’s what we do know.

On Friday 6th September at 6pm, Nintendo Game Boy Advance Xtreme Team member Kirsty Jones, became the first person to successfully Kitesurf across the Irish Sea. Current British Ladies Champion, Kirsty made the gruelling 70 mile trip from Rosslare in the Republic of Ireland, to Broad Haven in Pembrokeshire.

It's a clock that you can have on your desktop that looks exactly like the clock in Animal Crossing. It even plays chimes at the hours, just like in the game. Very cool, indeed.
