Including the newly named Wario: Master of Disguise.
Nintendo of America has posted first quarter release dates for next year, and they include a few big-name surprises.
Two Wii games, WarioWare: Smooth Moves and Wii Play will come first on January 15th. Hotel Dusk: Room 215 for Nintendo DS will arrive one week later on January 22nd.
February will include two highly anticipated ports, Diddy Kong Racing DS and Final Fantasy VI Advance for GBA, both releasing on February 5th.

Nintendo says Best Buy stores are already starting to get their first shipments in. But you still need to wait until Sunday to get one!
Nintendo issued a simple statement on their press site a few hours ago, proclaiming that yesterday (Wednesday) morning, UPS delivered the Wii consoles to Best Buy stores across the country. They included a photograph with this news, in case we needed proof of said event:

Splinter Cell, Open Season, and Far Cry miss North American launch day, aim for launch window.
In a notice sent to press today Ubisoft clarified that four of their upcoming Wii games will release on November 19th, while the remaining three will release in the coming weeks.

Let's just say I hope you weren't counting on rumble or online play.
Computer and Video Games ran a follow-up interview to their previous question and answer session with Nintendo about the Virtual Console and uncovered some new information about the system.
The Nintendo 64 marked the first first-party inclusion of rumble technology in console video games. However, Virtual Console does not support rumble and so downloaded N64 games will not be able to use that feature.

After IGN reported that Elebits was delayed until December, we contacted a Konami rep to get the details. He told us that the game has always been planned for the "launch window" and those plans have not changed - terming this as a delay was incorrect, and IGN has since updated their news story.... Enough is enough, proclaims long-running Earthbound fan site.
The Mother series has had a very loyal and dedicated fan base ever since the first—and only—American game in the series, Earthbound, was released on the SNES in 1995. The resurrection of the previously-canned Mother 3 and its eventual GBA release gave fans hope that Nintendo might finally come through after 11 years of waiting, and release a domestic version of their beloved game series.
