An anonymous tip from a Forum reader clued us in on a new cartridge-looking design patent awarded to Nintendo.
An annonymous tip from one of our Forum readers clued me in on a new design patent awarded to Nintendo for what appears to be a cartridge of some kind for the N64. The Design Patent number is D427,245. I don't know what this is, at first glance it appears that it could be some sort of a lock-on cartridge, but upon further examination, this no longer seems to be possible.

Quantum talks to the companies about selling their wares.
Nintendo seem to actively support the concept of writability when it comes to videogames, as seen with the Japan only 64-DD (even thoguh its a failure). Some say that Nintendo's decision to go with DVD with Project Dolphin was to avoid the mistakes they made in their past and to regain it's third... Read more...

Head on over to Rarenet and read the journals of the man himself, Dan, and his journeys in Rare's homeland, England. Some fairly obvious yet refreshing rumors from Dan is that Rare are planning on unveiling at least a couple of Dolphin titles at this year's August Spaceworld 2000 show in Japan. Dan's... Kit's? Maybe we should say kits...
And no I'm not referring to the lovable car from the spectacular 80's series, Knight Rider, I'm referring to the development kind. You know, the things companies like Capcom, Konami, and even Nintendo use to create their games. Well there has been much speculation as to whether or not developers out... Read more...

Check out this great Camelot interview from Core Magazine!
If you didn't know, one of the games in 2000 I'm looking forward to is Mario Tennis. Camelot has made only a few games for N64/GBC, and every game I have played of theirs has been a favorite of mine. To put it lightly...Camelot gives me wood.
Currently Camelot is finishing up Mario Tennis as... Read more...

Even more good info from our favorite game maker! Shiggy sure has been talkative lately...
Shiggy's getting pretty talkative lately. Well, this is a little leftover from E3, but it's good stuff none-the-less. The latest edition of Game Informer (July 2000) has an E3 recap (Hell, I thought ours was late), in which they interviewed a lot of developers. Of course, you can't forget Shiggy.... Read more...

Billy is back and the new format is kicking, though all is not well...
Yeah baby! I'm back. Well, at least for now. The format went over pretty well, but there was one unfortunate loss. I lost my entire ICQ user list. Right down the crapper. So, if you have me on your ICQ List, could you send me a message ASAP so I can put you back on my list? If you forgot, my ICQ # is 5422815.

Technical problems and Bill Gates bashing from our Billy boy.
Yep. My C64 took a huge dump on me late Thursday night, and I will be down for 24-48 hours after I stomp on this piece of crap, and then put it all back together. Anyone worried about the X-Box? I'm not. Microsoft can't even get their operating systems stable enough to handle anything. Get ready for the first Console that will crash on yo' ass. Heh.

Killer Instinct is back! Probably not the way you hoped but still some cool news...
...and I don't mean KI3. Some folks have taken up the challenge of emulating the KI arcade hardware. Will Nintendo respond? Or notice? Will this make up for the unjust lack of an N64/Dolphin version of classic KI? Click here for the Brute Force project's site.

Could we get a HAL game for the Dolphin's launch? It looks like it!
The folks over at Core Magazine have posted an interview Masahiro Sukarai from HAL. It's mostly vague references with a smattering of Dolphin talk, but that's pretty much the norm until Spaceworld. If anything, it's further confirmation that Nintendo has plenty going on internally and that there's plenty of Dolphin info that can't be revealed right now...damn NDA's. Could Sonic the Hedgehog actually be appearing on Dolphin?
Game industry news site Gameweek is reporting that the recent restructuring of their R&D teams could have effects on consoles other than Dreamcast. Apparently, judging from Sonic Team leader Yuji Naka's comments, we may see Sonic Team titles on Dolphin...but not PS2. While it's far from a confirmation of anything for Dolphin, it is no longer an impossibility that we'd see Sonic on a Nintendo platform.

Billy makes lame excuses why he hasn't updated lately. But seriously folks...
Yes, as you've seen my lack of updates lately...I've been a little bogged down at work. Yee-haw. Boss was away for about a week and a half, and I was running the show. It was a lot of fun and all (cough) but it took a major toll on my chances to do updates. As well as I got pretty sick.
