Natsume's latest Harvest Moon game, subtitled Island of Happiness, marks the ten year anniversary for the farm sim series in North America. The pre-order bonus? A chicken plushie!
Natsume announced earlier this week that Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness is available for DS. Commemorating the tenth anniversary of the series, it comes with a free plush chicken in select stores while supplies last.

Eidos has revealed new details of its Nintendo DS reworking of Midway's hack n' slash arcade classic, Gauntlet. This updated version of the original has you once again assuming the role of a Wizard, Warrior, Valkyrie, or Elf (now with their own power moves), battling through forty maps spanning three fantasy worlds full of demons and monsters.

Jaleco combats the Wii's lack of RPG problem.
New information about an RPG by Jaleco has come to light through a recent preview in Famitsu magazine.
Ougon no Kizuna, literally meaning "Golden Bonds," is a highly stylised action RPG with some incredible talent behind it. The scenario writer from Final Fantasy XII and the director of Little King Story and Dragon Quest VIII are teaming up to create what a lot of Wii owners are crying out for: more epic Japanese RPG’s.

A leaked Best Buy catalog reveals a new DS color.
Kotaku has revealed through a leaked picture from a Best Buy catalog (due to hit stores September 7) that a brand new DS Lite color is being released by Nintendo.

The classic PC strategy RPG will be available next year on Nintendo's handheld.

Leipziger Messe is planning to expand the Games Convention with a North American event.
Leipziger Messe, the company that organizes the (Leipzig) Games Convention, is planning to expand their efforts to a new event in North America. Messe has already brought the convention to Asia last year under the title Games Convention Asia. This year, the Asian expo will return to Singapore on the dates of September 18 through September 20.

Two of their WiiWare games, Bomberman Blast and Alien Crush Returns, will be playable as well as Fishing Master World Tour and Deca Sports for Wii.

Titled Bomberman Blast, the upcoming downloadable game will feature eight-person online multiplayer, Mii support, and online tournaments.
After mentioning a Bomberman WiiWare game back in March, Hudson Entertainment officially unveiled Bomberman Blast today. Along with the support of Mii Bombermen, it will be the first time on Wii that Bomberman will feature eight-player online multiplayer with leaderboards as well as individual and team battles.

Following fall releases in North America and Japan, Atari will bring Namco Bandai's DS game to Europe in December 2008.
Atari announced last week that they will be bringing Namco Bandai's DS game, Dragon Ball: Origins, to Europe this December. Taking place during the original Dragon Ball series, players will control a young Goku as he fights enemies and tries to collect the seven Dragon Balls. Using the touch-screen to execute moves like his signature Kamehameha, Goku must protect his sidekick Bulma while she invents machines and weapons for him to use.

Ubisoft's publishing and developing efforts have paid off and investors may see it with a share split.
Ubisoft has been doing quite well lately by developing and publishing a variety of titles across all of the consoles currently on the market. In order to show investors and the market their success, Ubisoft is planning on splitting its shares (currently valued at €62.22 per share) two-for-one on September 22.

Mario's latest Wii sports game "takes the fun into extra innings" with over 40 characters, a variety of game modes, and collectable online cards.

After interruptions from a variety of "elite ninja assassins," Capcom will now be shipping out the covers as promised with an extra bonus for the patient fans.
According to Capcom's Colin Ferris, the replacement covers for Okami Wii are finally shipping out. Due to an IGN watermark on the original cover, Capcom offered a replacement program for those with the tainted cover art. In an effort to appease the fans, Capcom offered a basic replacement of the standard cover art, but also offered two new unique covers.

With 21 songs returning from the original Dreamcast game and 23 new ones, Sega's rhythm game will have variety when it shakes into stores on September 23.
Sega recently announced the complete song list for their upcoming Wii title, Samba de Amigo. Containing a mix of songs from previous Samba games and an assortment of new ones, Samba de Amigo is set to hit stores in North America on September 23, 2008 and Europe on September 19, 2008. The only sour note is that some of the songs are covers.

This Wii exclusive mode will also feature air guitar and drums by using the Wii Remote and Nunchuk.
Activision announced yesterday during the Leipzig Games Conference in Germany that the Wii version of the upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour will include the exclusive Mii Freestyle mode.
Mii Freestyle mode allows players to use their custom made Miis in the game along with their Wii Remote and Nunchuk to play air guitar and drums.

The team responsible for the concept of de Blob and its original creation has announced their latest venture, a side-scrolling strategy title called Swords & Soldiers.
Ronimo Games, known best for their creation of the de Blob concept, has announced their latest venture, Swords & Soldiers, a side-scrolling strategy game for WiiWare.
