Nintendo announced the localization of Fatal Frame in today's Nintendo Direct.
The game features use of the Wii U Gamepad as a camera, and will come out this fall after its October 2014 Japan release.

Do you hate plastic? Well, now you can have Amiibo made of yarn.
Yarn Amiibo are coming out alongside Yoshi's Woolly World this fall and they are made of actual yarn.
Coming in three different colors, the Yoshi Amiibo add a second Yoshi that can help you out while you play through Woolly World. This second Yoshi can be made into a yarn ball, which can help you in tight spots.

During today's Nintendo Direct, a fan vote was announced to determine the newest Smash Bros character after Lucas and Mewtwo.
The vote will be held starting today on SmashBros.com, and the number of write-in votes will determine which characters will be added.

Two new modes have been announced for Splatoon, as well as the inclusion of Amiibo.
Ranking Battle will include Splash Zones in which you try to get to specific areas in each stage. Battle Dojo will include local one on one battles and one TV screen, with the objective being to pop balloons.

Mario Maker and Yoshi's Woolly World have both gotten their release windows.
Mario Maker will release in September, for the 30th anniversary of Super Mario Bros, and will feature online sharing of levels. More information on the 30th anniversary will come soon.

Dark Pit, Olimar, Zero Suit Samus, Dr. Mario, and a whole bunch more on on the way in May, July, and September.
Three new Amiibo waves for Super Smash Bros. are on the way in the coming months, adding a whopping 15 more characters.
On May 29, the previously announced Charizard, Pac-Man, Wario, Ness, Lucina, and Robin Amiibo will finally release. Additionally, Greninja and Jigglypuff will come out on that day.

Pokemon #150 will be entering the fray, as well as the protagonist of Mother 3 and a brand new update for Miis!
In today's Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata announced that Mewtwo will be coming in April, and Lucas from Mother 3 will be arriving in June as a playable character.
Mewtwo will arrive on April 15 for Club Nintendo members, and April 28 for everyone else. Mewtwo will retail for $3.99 for individual versions, or $4.99 for both. Lucas will be released in June.

The latest in the Rumble series will be free to play on 3DS and include over 700 Pokémon.
Pokémon Rumble World is coming to the 3DS eShop on April 8 for free.
This free-to-play entry in the Rumble series, which last appeared on Wii U in 2013, lets you play as over 700 Pokémon, including some mega ones. You use Pokédiamonds to get new balloons, which carry you to new environments. You can get diamonds by StreetPassing, completing objectives in the game, and spending your own hard-earned money.

Like the man said, this is no joke.
The next Nintendo Direct will air on April 1st at 6pm ET/3pm PT for North America, midnight on April 2 in Europe, and 7am in Japan. Wii U and 3DS games are both slated to be discussed, and a Treehouse Live will air immediately following the Direct.

A squid invasion lands in late May, while late June is surprisingly woolly.
If a (now removed) release list on Nintendo of Europe’s website is correct, then Splatoon is coming to Europe on May 29 and Yoshi’s Woolly World is launching on June 26.
