Wii Sports Resort owners get a chance to win an exclusive colored Wii Remote and Nunchuk combo

Club Nintendo of Japan announced a competition for members to win one of five thousand exclusive light blue Wii Remote and Nunchuk sets.

The competition is open to anyone registering their copy of Wii Sports Resort from June 25 to August 1.

This comes hot on the heels of Nintendo announcing the first colored variant of the Wii console in Japan.

Could this mean we will see more colored Wii Remotes and Wii consoles appearing in the future, as was shown when the Wii was first announced at E3 2005?

Members of Club Nintendo Japan can register their copies of Wii Sports Resort at the official page.

Nintendo of America, DO STUFF LIKE THIS!

I'm digging that color -- is it the same as the one for DSi? It looks better on the Remote/Nunchuk.

We still don't know what NOA's Club Nintendo is doing for gold and platinum members. The cut-off for achieving that status is coming up very soon, so hopefully we'll know more after that.

Ah, so this explains the number 5,000 in the Club Nintendo thread: There are 5,000 available!

I like this colour much better than black or white. This would be the kind of thing that'd be awesome to receive as the bonus for Platinum members.

I posted about this in that Japanese Post E3 Conference thread I made(& in the Club Nintendo Thread), but I never knew it was a limited give-away since I can't read Japanese.

I really hope NOA does something nice like that, but they will probably give out limited copies of Disaster: DoC

There's no way NOA would send out $60 worth of controllers to so many people.

Nintendo is abandoning its fanbase.

I wonder how much I can get for selling the Mario hat they're going to send out...
