Now with Orange Pocky!
In the latest issue, Famitsu reported that Nintendo will publish RUNE II, which is developed by From Software. The game will be released on May 23 in Japan.
As reported 2 weeks ago, the limited edition of the orange GBA will be available at the Pokemon Centers in Japan on April 25 at the price of 12,500 yen (around $100 US dollars). Reservations both online and at the store front start today.

The console that offers value by the pound looks to shake up console pricing again, but Nintendo doesn't seem to be all that worried.
Last year, when Sony cut the price of the PS2 down to $199, Microsoft was forced to follow suit, and Nintendo was left no choice to make their GameCube $149. With Microsoft announcing a 20% price cut in Europe, the rumor mill is turning with the story that a US price cut is next, getting the jump on Sony.

Videogames and violence have always been a hot topic in society, and the mainstream media always seems to uncover some link between social problems and videogames as a whole. Under major pressure to be more competitive with Sony and Microsoft, it will now cost less for publishers to get games licensed from Nintendo.
Everyone has always known that Nintendo has always charged game publishing companies just a little bit more to allow them to put games on the GameCube. This was no problem when Nintendo was dominating the scene, but now that Sony and Microsoft are courting pulishers with cheaper royalty fees, Nintendo has had a tougher time as of late.

As expected, Midway won't be supporting online play for the Cube versions of the re-invented sports franchises.
In the press releases Midway sent out on Tuesday, they made the claim that NFL Blitz Pro and NHL Hitz Pro would feature online play. It was unclear in the release which system or systems this feature would be made for.

Apparently, the Panasonic Q isn't shiny enough.
We know them as Panasonic, and Nintendo knows the company as the one responsible for the disc drive inside the GameCube. However, the AP is reporting that the Japanese electronics giant will be posting a ¥23.5 billion ($195 million) loss for their last fiscal year. What makes this worse for the firm is that they expected to gain ¥25 billion ($207 million) in the same period of time.

Nintendo is calling for applications for Nintendo Game Seminar 2003 (in
Japan), a 10 month seminar on game development. Thirty people from the

Earlier today in Japan, Nikkei Sangyo Shimbun reported that Capcom is reconsidering its strategy on the GameCube platform. One of the reasons cited was that Biohazard (known as Resident Evil outside of Japan) did not perform well overseas as expected.
