Shinobi, Dragon Crystal, and Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble will be the first Game Gear titles to hit the 3DS Virtual Console.
Sega Game Gear games are finally headed to the Nintendo 3DS eShop.
Originally announced prior to the launch of the eShop, their release was reconfirmed today during the Nintendo Direct conference. The first three titles, Shinobi, Dragon Crystal and Sonic the Hedgehog: Triple Trouble will be released on March 14 in Japan and mid-March in Europe.

Sega's peculiar rhythm game is coming out in April with help from Nintendo.
Rhythm Thief and the Emperor's Treasure is slated for an April 5 release in Europe, and will be distributed by Nintendo of Europe in the region.
The game, developed by Sega, takes place in Paris centers around the mystery behind the disappearance of the main character Raphael's father. Also, there's a lot of dancing.

Also, a Nintendogs + Cats demo is out today.
Punch-Out and Super Mario Bros. are coming out on the 3DS Virtual Console in Europe on March 1. Both are the first NES games to get a full release on the eShop in Europe. Super Mario Bros. is an Ambassador game, and came out in North America last week for $5.

European plans mostly to be confirmed!
Nintendo of Europe gave its fans a translation of the Japanese presentation with a couple of minor differences. The Dragon Quest Monsters game and Fatal Frame were left out and most content mentioned got a big ''European plans to be announced'' stamp on it, though there a few details that did stand out.

Mario's new sports smasher gets a US release date.

Nintendo's next eShop game is out today in Japan, North America, and Europe.
The Rolling Western, developed by Vanpool, is available now on eShop worldwide for $10, according to today's Nintendo Direct presentation.

The title aims to train memory and concentration.
Oni Training (or "Demon Training"), the newest title in the Brain Age series, was revealed by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata during Nintendo Direct.
The game is a spin-off of Dr. Ryuta Kawashima's Brain Age for 3DS, focusing on training the players memory and concentration. It features a demon version of Kawashima. Iwata said that the game attempts to give players a serious challenge while avoiding frustration.

3DS owners can get their hands on new episodes and maps starting April 19.
The first round of Fire Emblem: Kakusei DLC will be free of charge, as reported by Iwata during Nintendo Direct.
The downloadable content includes new maps and episodic content, and will cost no money until May 31. Nintendo will also release prepaid cards to purchase content with at a later date.

The Famicom Disk System version of Metroid will be available on the eShop in Japan on February 29 for 500 yen.

Bit.Trip Saga is coming to the UK on March 16, one week earlier than expected, according to publisher Rising Star Games.
UK gamers were originally looking forward to playing the 3D compilation of WiiWare titles on March 23. However, due to unknown reasons the game's release has been moved to March 16.

The 2D platformer finally earns Ubisoft some money.
Rayman Origins has finally become a profitable game for Ubisoft, the company revealed to investors during a conference call earlier this week.
Rayman Origins released in November 2011 and was met with small sales numbers. NPD reports the game only sold 50,000 copies in its first month. However, Ubisoft claims the game "has the capacity to become a long-term seller for the company." There was no official sales data revealed.

3DS owners will be seeing alot from this developer soon.
Shin'en is currently developing four different games for the Nintendo eShop, according to an interview with FNintendo.
When asked what their plans were for the eShop Shin'en revealed that they have four games currently in development; one of which is nearly complete.
Shin'en's Manfred Linzner said: "We are close to the launch of our first eShop game, and three more eShop games are in production at Shin'en."

The third Nintendo Direct broadcast is scheduled for Wednesday, February 22, Nintendo revealed on their website.
