F-Zero GX Controls
« on: May 27, 2004, 05:14:58 PM »
Hey guys, I have my controls set up on F-Zero so that the C-Stick controls the left/right sliding, since I have more control over the vehicle that way. However, I don't know how to drift for those tight turns...does anyone know how to do it? I noticed that sometimes I would drift, and I think it had something to do with the timing on sliding and turning. Hopefully this makes sense

Hmm. Well since to drift you need to hold both triggers down in the normal controller setup, with yours, you would need to push the C-stick in two directions at once. So unless you figured out a way to do that, I don't think you can drift intentionally using the C-stick.

Yeah, but the totally odd thing is I KNOW on a few turns my car actually drifted...I guess it's not a big deal anymore, because I went back to the default control setup since I couldn't figure out a defenite way to drift. I just preferred the c-stick for sliding because it gave me a lot better control...except obviously for those extra tight turns.

Don't try Hard mode on the first Chapter yet, play a few more and then try it.

Try drifting one way and turning the other way.  You'll skid, me thinks.
