Well, I have gone one step closer than Infernal.........
I have played the phenomenally awesome F-Zero AX!!!!

While it might be a tad expensive to play (2 bucks a game, whether you win or not), it's totally worth it.

First off, when you put in your two dollars, you will presented two options:
- Create a Pilot Card and
- Insert Pilot Card.
Whether you're only playing once or intend to play again, you will need a card regardless, so in order to create a card, put in ANOTHER 2 bucks. Type in a name (I put TERMIN8 ), and yo'll be presented with a random no-name character that's been chosen for you so you can earn points for him/her and get upgrades.

Now, choose whether you want to race, or do Time Trial.
Of course, bening my first time, I chose Race.
At this point, if the other player (there's two machines in the arcade), has ALSO chosen Race at the same time as you, you will now be versing earch other.
That's right, F-Zero AX has two player.

Now, you choose a pilot and machine.

And then, choose a track. All six are available immediately. Mute City and Aeropolis are Easy (8 laps), Outer Space and Port Town are Medium (6 laps), Lightning and Green Plant are Advanced (3 laps).
Choose one, and begin.

Hang on..............
A WARNING screen pops up.

"Your seat belt is not fastened. For safety reasons, please fasten your seat belt."

What the...? Seat Belt? I grab it, and put it in. The game resumes. This hsould be interesting.....

"Welcome to Mute City"

"3! 2! 1! Gooo!"
I slam my foot on the accelerator........

WHOA!!!!!!!!
HOLY F**K!!!!!!
This game is too fast to describe!!!!!
I run over a boost plate, and take a tight turn.
WHOA!
The seat tilts! I hang onto the steering wheel for dear life.
I seriously don't know why they put in a brake pedal for.......the air brakes are so fast.

The handling is superb. The speed is blisteringly fast!
I finish the race. I came first!!!!
The results show on screen. The points accumalate, but I don't have enough to upgrade my machine.

"GAME OVER. Please take out your Pilot Card, and unfasten your seat belt."

I do all that.
My hands are sweating, my pulse is racing. My sunnies fell out of my pocket. And a crowd of people came to admire my F-Zero skills. Thank you, thank you....

It's 4pm, and I'm sposed to go home........I yank out 2 more dollars, insert my card, and fasten my seat belt.
F-Zero AX is more than an arcade game......it's a bloody RIDE.

EDIT: Oh, I forgot the link to the pic of my License Card

Sorry, I don't do chatrooms.  This is the closest I'll get to one.

Actually, it's not me, it's my parents.  They think you guys are some 40 year old males seducing me.  Like I said before, they don't like moderated forums, so a chatroom is out of the question.  It's all the fault of this stupid "Internet Safety" class they went to.

I had MSN once, and I went on and was like "hi'  and my friend was like "what's up"  and I was like "nothing" and he was like "g2g" and I was like " What the hell does THAT mean?!"  but I didn't actually say that.  I figured out on my own what g2g meant, and all the other stupid acronyms they come up with.

One time, two years ago, I made a joke on a test I took, and my teacher put "lol" next to it.  I couldn't believe that my math teacher was using that stuff when I didn't even know what it meant!

Now, I make up my own, like...

POMH!!  GTTHOM!!!!  (possums on my head!  get them the hell off me!)

I had planned on getting on MSN this morning in hopes someone else would be on, but my internet had other plans.  It wouldn't let me on till the afternoon and by then it was too late.  I use MSN for my internet and it has been retarded of late.  Get online, get knocked off.  Try and get on again and one dial in.  Remove phone line from computer.  Plug back in.  Get online and the maybe get knocked off again, that is if it even logs in at all.

I want PIE, but I am on a diet.  So I can't have any PIE, unless it's DIET PIE!!!!!!! *cringes at the though of that actually.*

Eegads, it's an Internet disaster. I'd been without access for over 24 hours. TWENTY FOUR. AND I USUALLY LIVE ONLINE. Eegads, not even my GC or PS2 could keep me entertained. I had to resort to TRUSTY SATURN. I mean, yeah, I could of actually gotten up and gone outside. But hey, then the sun would make me explode.

But yes, now it's back to normal. I wasn't given a reason why it was down. Stupid cheap internet access.
Oh yeah, I had a pie yesterday, a frozen one. Me with my trusty kitchen skills, I chucked it in the oven, pulled it out 20 mins later, and started eating it.

THE MIDDLE WAS STILL FROZEN. So I made a disgusted noise, went out to the back step and hurled it up in the air, sailing into my stupid neighbours backyard. Score, I hit one of their kids bikes. WINNER IS ME. I ran back inside, giggling like a school girl.

And damn you Termin8.
OH WHY DID I HAVE TO GO ON A FRIDAY, WHEN EVERY SCHOOL STUDENT JIGS! =P

HOLY POOP ON A STICK TERMIN8!
*is jealous*

That sounds too cool. I wonder how much each of the units costs, when you add in the "throwing you around the track" feature, and the seatbelts.I'll bet its over AU$5000 I WANT ONE ANYWAY!!!

KnowsNothing: Give MSN another shot. Often most of the guys in this thread (Mario, Termin8, Infernal and myself) are on, talking about anything and everything, and bowing before teh almighty pie!

PIAC, $44 for postage is a big ripoff.  Before bidding, always ask the seller what the shipping will be.

I was in Target today (not the store I ususally go to), and they had Harvest Moon: Back to Nature for PSone (3 copies)!  For $20!  I was so tempted to buy it.  But wanted to check if it plays well on ePSXe first.

Ahoy.
Hey I forgot to say that when you play Time Trial on AX, you can use the password they give you to put your time onto the AX Internet Ranking at the official site!
I haven't done it yet........

But I checked the Internet Ranking at www.f-zero.jp, and guess what, in all of Australia, there are only THREE people who have  registered and been ranked.
-_______-
I'll have to make sure I play TT next time and register.........damn.......three people is pathetic!

What is TRUSTY SATURN?  is it something I want to know about, or some strange cultural thing.

I'll just assume you're kidding so I don't embarrass myself.

About ten days before I can get my anxious little hands on F-Zero.  Me can hardly wait. . .

Strangely, the thing that initially got me into this game were the following two things: the graphics, and those tubes you can go upside down on.  I had my eye on it, but this one video made me want to get it.  And talk like this has confirmed that I will.
