Infernal: I got a bargain at EB: Activision Anthology for $21. So I took it before some punk kid asks me "What's an Atari?"Hooray for 25% off a 29.95 game! *hugs air*

No likey XIII Infernal? :\

Well i really, really like Super Mario Advance 4, Mario and Luigi, Mario Party 5 and Tony Hawk Underground. All of them!

I like SMA4 the least though, a few things in it really annoy me. Mario and Luigi is BRILLIANT, already one of my favourite games of all time, play it or i hate you. Mario Party 5 is much better than Mario Party 4, it's really awesome, has surprisingly funky awesome really good music, really fun mini games and like... everything rocks about it! Mario Party 5 > all other Mario Party games combined. Tony Hawks Underground surprised me with how good it is, even though i expected it to be good, at first it seemed... a bit PS2 ish, and i was a bit pissed because you start off with one level (and the crappiest one), but after all that its awesome, so much variety in everything, you can practically do anything, and if there arent enough tricks for you, you can make your own! =O The levels are really cool too, especially the later ones.

Oh and i got NFSU for PS2, which is apparently a bad combination. It almost literally made my PS2 explode. The first time i played it the screen started stuttering, then a loud sound started coming out of the actual PS2, then the sound in the game went all spastic, then a tiny bit of smoke came out of my PS2 and it turned off O_o. Luckily the PS2 still works, but im a bit scared of putting NFSU back in it...

Sonic Advance is sold out or not available anywhere, and i want it :\. I also want SSX3! When does that Grace Bros/Myer sale end? (or has it already ended? )

*is playing M&L, and loving it also*

As for THUG, I'll pass. I have too many games to play at the moment (Manhunt, Activision Anthology, M&L, and ED is on my to-do list) and not enough time to do it all in. Stupid work and life.

And 80s music is tha bomb! I was listening to "Take on Me" while playing Pitfall and I swore that I went back in time to the 80s.

Mario Party 5!? I played that with three other people, and twice in a row did one person get every star on the map. He also got by far the largest number of coins as well. Even though I was even with him in minigames won, he beat everyone else by 6 stars. Needless to say, we insulted and jeered at him for the rest of the night, but we were all a little disapointed with the game anyway (except for the winner, he seemed to like it.) Mario Party 1 > all the other Mario Parties.

Ahaha, that's never happened to me, i barely won in an epic 50 turn match, i jumped into the lead thanks to the mini game bonus star and beat my friend with 9 stars (he had 8) *is proud*. Disappointed with the game? What didn't you like about it?

Well, we were fine with the graphics and sound, and we even liked the mini-games qite a bit (we didn't find a bumber balls though). It gave a good impression at first, but when you've spent 3-4 hours playing a game, knowing you have no hope of winning, it just gets boring. We had no will to play it again. After the revolution that was the original Mario Party (and Mario Pary 2 and 3, to some extent), it just felt like a let down. I was probobly too harsh on it - I began reading books 5 hours a day and returned it to EB before playing it again.

Fair enough i suppose, but im having more fun with 5 than i did with any of the other ones, thats just me though. I really like the space board, which has awesome music and.... yeah. So far it's more of a multiplayer 'hit' with my friends than Mario Kart is, although i like Mario Kart better.

Mario and Luigi is one of the best games I have EVAH played.  Very fun, and this is coming from a guy that doesn't even normally like RPGs.  (Of course, I hardly consider this an RPG, in many respects).

Yay! Good find, Shifty! Activision Anthology for $29.95 alone is a steal, but 25% off that!
You might wanna check out GameFAQs, there's a few lists on what scores you have to get to in certain games to unlock the adverts and patches.

Nope, me no likey XIII, Mario.
It's just so generic. I've seen it all before in the likes of GoldenEye, Mission Impossible 64, Hitman. It offers nothing new or exciting. The cel-shading is about all it's good for, and even then you'd be hard pressed to tell stuff is cel-shaded. The environments are blurry and hazy and stuff. The comic book style stuff is amusing though. I cracked some guy over the head with an ashtray and it showed it in a few panels up the top of the screen.

Good to hear you're liking your games! Mario Party 5 sounds cool! =o
That Grace Bros. sale ends January 12th according to palgn. I lost the catalogue thing.. so.. yeah. I'll head in again when I get McMoney on Friday and see if there's any scrap games left over. Wow, 18 Wheeler!
And I'm not surprised with NFSU. It seemed to be killing the Xbox when I played it, chunky bad frame rate, a strange popping noise in the music every ten seconds or so. Bleh, EA.

Enjoy your epic adventure, Termin8! BRING ME BACK THE TASMANIAN DEVIL!!!

I will head to Myers down in Melbourne to see if they have anything there.
And where abouts in Melbourne is Nintendo HQ? It's in Scoresby or something, but I frankly have no idea where that is

And Infernal, you don't need me to bring back the Tasmanian Devil. You can already see him in stupidly-ass-boring generic platformers such as Taz Wanted, and if you are daring enough, the Loony Tunes Back in Action game

Ah, January 12th, sweet. Plenty of time, i want to get SSX3, but the crappy PAL conversion thingy that i keep hearing about has me a bit on edge.

XIII is brilliant with the GC controller. Very easy to use. Left stick for movement, right stick for aiming, right trigger for shooting (you don't need to click the damn thing in! Yay!), erm, A for jumping and b for picking stuff up. And breaking windows. You press b in front of a window and BAM, it shatters. Like magic!

I can't get on MSN. ;__;

Good to hear hrhrhr. Maybe i'll just rent it... or get the PC version for 'cheap'... or maybe i'll just stop caring about it and buy SSX3 already .

THUG is hilarious, lets just hope Neversoft never develop a serious driving game, the cars control kind of 2Dish, like Pacman, you tap left and the car does a magical turn and just 'ends up' going the way you pressed, well its not that bad but its still funny. And when you drive up a ramp in a halfpipe or something, the car goes up, spins and comes down perfectly, exactly like your skateboard does, it looks so funny.

my oh my, I am still alive.  Holiday weekend didn't go as planned.  spent too much time playing video games, instead of online.  BG&E is fun.  Played through first disk of REC:VX last night.  I want RE4 now.

Have fun Termin8

I had planned on getting on MSN, but I was doing other stuff.    I will try and be more social and visible later in the week.  I work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week, so I have a four day weekend again, just like last week.

I'll miss Termin8 and Perm

Nothing exciting indeed, especially compared to what Grace Bros are doing. If Kmart had a 50% off sale for GC it would be the best thing ever, since they actually have GC games, well at least my local store does.

Hopefully i'll be getting SSX3 in an hour, if Grace Bros have it.
