Nintendo promises new announcement shortly

18.09.03 - How the Nintendo Dream writes, a new product is to be announced shortly by Nintendo. That communicates the manufacturer in the newest expenditure.

Whether it concerns software or accessories for GC and/or GBA, is unclear.

For too long, I've hoped these announcements meant Mario 128, realistic Zelda, or something great along those lines. Now I've realized the best this will probably be is a new set of E-reader cards that I will have absolutely no interest in.

I'm assuming that since Nintendo basically has the specs nearly finalized, that they can start unvieling them to the public. This announcement will probably be the next GBA to take a hit out of the PSP hype that's building.

Do the math. GB "Future" and the "NES 5" are not set to deliver until 2005. It's probably too early to start the hype train for either system just yet.

I'm with Bill, it's probably a new game. A Zelda RPG? The Zelda sequel? Paper Mario 2 for GC?

Hey, anyone heard that the creator of the Res. Evil series has been hired, unoffically, by Nintendo?!
Also, Yuji Naka has also approached Nintendo about doing his own "secret project" for Big N.
I tried to ask him about it at this years E3, but unfortunately he spoke almost NO english. And suprisingly enough, neither did his translator, lol! Still, he was an incredibly warm and friendly fellow, just like Miyamoto.

I want to hear more bout this zelda rpg, if done right it'll be tight as ass cheeks lol. It doesnt even have to star link as the main character, it can just take place in hyrule and have link as a legend and whatnot. The posibilities are endless.

A Zelda RPG could work. You would be Link and you could gain partners(sages, perhaps?) as you went through the game. However...NO RANDOM BATTLES! I hate them so much.(Another reason I love ToS...no random battles ^_^)

that kindom hearts game with nintendo touch would be good too and I hope that mushroom kingdoms thing is really some variation of that. As for that zelda rpg they can use a few different characters for partners, zelda could prob weild magic or play as sheik, the rock people, a character from the fairy village. I can just imagine if nintendo desides to create their own original characters too, I'll like to see that.

Ah, but that's the thing. Nintendo didn't trademark "Mushroom Kingdom" but "Mushroom Kingdoms" Hmmmmmm....

Since it was trademarked quite a while ago(more than a year at least) and we haven't even anything on it leads me to believe that it could be a MMORPG...But I'd rather have my Nintendo World RPG ^_^

I'm tempted to ask if Agent Seven can somehow prove that he talked with Naka-san, but I'll have to take his word for it, you always seem to be one step ahead somehow... You'd figure Sega would have some revenue to get some good interpreters but that's veering off topic.

This better not be Megaton 2; I'm guessing something a little smaller like a new exculsive or more specific details about the deal with AOL and Nintendo.

And whats this about "Mushroom Kingdoms"? Can i see a link that points to the existance of this? I dont remember hearing anything about Nintendo trademarking "Mushroom Kingdoms"...?

Anywho, if Nintendo really is releasing a new Gameboy soon, then thats probably the announcement. I wonder what the chances of this announcement being made at TGS are? It would be nice if Nintendo announced something major there and stole the show. I could think up a number of possibilites, but they would all probably be wrong, and we've gone through this a million times before

tbh, i wouldn't mind a nintendo rip-off of kingdom hearts, bear in mind i haven't actually played kingdom hearts and i only have a small idea of what it is like, any game where i could traverse through all the wonderful worlds of nintendo's franchises in one would be awsome!

I think if they rip off Kingdom Hearts they will get complaints about just that. Also, imagine a Sony Fanboy being able to spout "Nintendo ran out of ideas now it's stealing from the PS2!". Wouldn't want that, now.
Mushroom Kingdom sounds like a game playing in Mario's world, but without Mario. Or the s suggests multiple universes... Mario vs. evil Mario clones! After all, they promised innovation for the next Mario. Maybe Mushroom Kingdoms == Mario 128?

2) Mario: I would look for the link, but it happened more than a year ago...It wasn't an announcement, but just someone finding trademarks that companies register. Like recently someone found that Namco has registered trademarks that sound like more Tales games

Well lets see. If Nintendo is going to release the N5 in late 2005 then I would say its a bit early but I would be suprised if they decided to released the new Game Boy in 2004 to compete with the PSP if thats the case then I would be suprised if the released some specs on it like Sony already did. but if they do release some specs then I'm willing to bet that they will also have a design layed out and that would be really cool. Another thing hardware wise that they might release is something that is compatible with that 3rd slot under the Gamecube. They got a internet port and the GB player port and there is one more that I've been dieing to know what it does.

On the software side I would love to see what the hell Game Zero from Zoonami is. that and maybe an agreement with Yugi Naka on a Nintendo project, that and if dead pheonix is still dead pheonix or if it was changed(I don't remeber what game people were talking about but i never played it)

Nintendo's got a lot of secrets out there that they can give us we will just have to see.

Until Sony starts outselling the GBA in units...I don't think Nintendo should release a new Game Boy. The sales are doing great...no use it cutting into it.
