No kidding. With a remake coming to Gamecube, it reminded me that I had a PC demo of MGS from the Christmas 2000 issue of PC Gamer magazine. Which sadly, I never tried out. I ignored the game back then because I wasnβt into console games at the time (a big mistake). So I went thru my collection of 117 PC Gamer CD demo discs (I counted βem!) on the shelf behind me. At last, I found it.
Iβve finished the demo twice and enjoyed it, although it was short. Iβm doing it again on hard. Using the keyboard does feel somewhat awkward. But what I like about the game is that it makes you feel that you are playing in an action movie, although some of the time I felt I was being interrupted by codec too often, instead of just letting me play. The character models look weird, I mean, they seem to have no eyes. And the voice acting is good. I liked some of the conversation between Snake and the Asian chick (canβt remember her name). Now I canβt wait for the GameCube remake, and I am thanking Nintendo and Konami for making this possible.
To the big MGS fans on this forum, I ask you to forgive me for not trying out the MGS PC demo long ago. I beg of you!
