Nintendo is definitely willing to work out 'deals.' Remember the SP bundles two seasons ago? Limited edition SP with a first-party title bundled in for $99. The SP wasn't in any sales lag at the time either, as the GameCube is now.

Each store can make thier own special deal.  I just got a DS for 129 with a free copy of Nintendogs at Meijer.  Unfortunately the deal ended Saturday.  But the Target price is something to check out.

Just got home from my shift today at Target and was able to find out the deal on this deal. It IS a misprint in the catalog. So the online catalog should be changing to reflect that, but if you bring in the catalog with the $99.99 price printed in it then they will sell you the DS for the $99.99 price.

EBgames is having an 2 for $30 'earlybird' sale for Player's Choice titles, 7 AM to Noon, November 23.  Dunno anything about U.S. time zones and stuff.  The link has the details, but I believe the P.C. collection listed isn't complete (no Tales of Symphonia, etc).  Look for other $20 games manually, and see if the coupon code works.

Additionally, 1080*: Avalanche will be $10 during this earlybird sale:

Poop, I want a famicom one but I would also like to save ten bucks.  When are the famicom ones supposed to be around in the states, I know Reggie confirmed them, I thought he said the end of November but I might be making that up.

If you still want the famicon version, you can wait and still get it $10 cheaper.  It appears to be a price drop to the 89.99 price point as ebgames and amazon.com are both selling it for that amount as well.

Boy do  have some good deals for fellow Canadians.

FutureShop:
Wi-Fi USB Connector: $39.99 (free shipping)

BestBuy:
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time: $39.99 (Free Shipping)

Wi-Fi USB Connector: $39.99 (Free Shipping)

Amazon.ca (you need at least a total of $39, not including taxes, of stuff you buy to get free shipping):
Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time: $34.99

Animal Crossing Wild World: $39.99

There are more deals for the DS at Amazon.ca but I only put the most recent games.
Also, the BestBuy and FutureShop deals also apply if you want to get the games yourself rather than waiting for them.
I really do wonder how BestBuy and FutureShop got permission to sell the WiFi USB adapters.

yes do this, Target should honor it. do a screen shot copy and paste to MS paint and print away. It's all good till Dec. 12th I believe.

Here's the goods.

Target's response and honors it:

Thanks for your e-mail about The Nintenedo Dual Screen in the 2005 Holiday Catalog. The ad is a misprint, as the price in the system should be $129.99. However, Target is honoring the ad price of $99.99 if you are able to bring in a copy of the catalog. If you have any trouble at the store, have them call us at (800) 440-0680 and we will be able to assist you then. Keep in mind the catalog price expires on December 12th, 2005.
We always welcome your questions, so if we can assist you in the future, please contact our Target Guest Relations team at (800) 440-0680. You can also speak with a team member at the Guest Services Desk at your local Target store, or visit us on Target.com. Either way, we’re here to help!
Thanks for shopping with us. I hope we’ll see you again soon at Target.

Enjoy

I really do wonder how BestBuy and FutureShop got permission to sell the WiFi USB adapters.

NOA decided that they want the Wi-Fi dongle to go the way of the GameCube Component Cable, so they're selling them online-only (for now).

Nintendo of Canada said that was dumb, so they're letting Canadian stores sell them.

Nice try MysticGohan, but you have to have a physical copy of the Catalog.  There is a reason they are honoring the price, and that is because they go out to Best Guests, which are typically those people that spend about $1,000 on their Target Red Card / Visa each month.  Oh, and they've already corrected the online price, so they can deny to honor the price on those grounds as well.

You can try to bring in the printout of the online catalog, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do not honor it.  Unfortunately, I work in the department responsible for proofing the design/layout of that Catalog, and wish I would have caught the mistake.  We're not trying to be asses if we don't honor the price, you just have to look at it from our perspective, that a mistake was made, and we're losing $29.99 for each one of these units that moves out the door.

Update: I took the risk and brought in the printout of the ad (screen capture since it's flash) I also printed out the terms and conditions.

I took it to the electronics desk, showed it to the clerk and asked him if they were honoring the ad. I pointed out that it was in-store only. He brought over a manager, who looked at the printouts. The manager was really friendly and said sure, so me and a buddy of mine both got a DS for $99

Now, your mileage may vary, I have heard that not all Target stores are honoring it.

BTW, I took it to Walmart first since they do price matching but they said it would have to be the actual catalog, not just an online printout. I have heard Circuit City is price matching it though.

I'm glad I could help someone not that I wanted a company to lose money. But then again I do have a grudge/vendetta against Target for mistreating me sometime back, and had not forgotten or forgiven  that fiasco.

Understandable.  I'm not a company whore either, but when you're a part of the company's bottom line, it's hard not to feel bad when something like this goes awry, and you had the opportunity to avoid it.

Good deals to all those that can get 'em.  Sorry to hear about your experience with Target though Mystic.  I've had that happen with retailers like Walmart and Best Buy, so I hear ya.

It's not so much that with retail. it's that while in school we had this on the job trainning program, and it was at target.

For some reason they had to blame someone for writing on the stalls in the bathroom, so they did this bs for everyone to draw to see if it matched the ones in the bathroom.
"without telling any of us that was the purpose" So I get blame for the way I write, cause I have artharatis in my hands so they believed it to be me, yet I had noway of drawing on anything since I did not had any pen, pencil, crayon on me.

I do not like to be accused of something I'll never do, and to blame me cause it matches is insane due to a birth defect that my hand shakes all the time infuriates me.

I just can't forgive that injustice, that and it cost me my grades, and I was innocent the whole time.

I think it's because I'm part native american
