I had a lot of stuff registered with MyNintendo and switched over to Club Nintendo as soon as it became available, I never got any thank-you card from Nintendo.
I'm more interested in hearing about this setting of wallpaper, I didn't know you could do that.
Thanks. It sucks I didn't get that though since I had a ton of stuff registered on MyNintendo.
I think that everyone registered to MyNintendo should have gotten the thank-you card, since it was a useless program before Club Nintendo so all the people who put up with it deserved something.

I thought the Zelda Collector's Edition was a Nintendo Power bonus. That's how I got mine, anyway.

One, by purchasing a specially marked GameCube bundle. Two, with a 1-year subscription to Nintendo Power. Three, if you registered a GameCube and two games with MyNintendo when it first started (two games doesn't sound like much, but at the time, only four games had registrations - Double Dash, Mario Party 5, Avalanche 1080 and Mario and Luigi: Super Star Saga). I got a copy from the Nintendo Power promo and from registering with MyNintendo. One of my copies is still sealed, still in the shipping envelope. I plan on using it to retire.

I got two copies of it (both from Nintendo Power; the copies were taking a while to arrive, so some people complained to Nintendo and they sent out second copies, and because of that I got two of them), but I gave my other copy to a friend of mine. That was a horrible business decision, but it made for a great Christmas gift.

What are some other reasons?
Ah, you mean the actual NES downloads. I thought you meant why it was better to have Super Mario All-Stars on a disc instead of as a VC download, in which case, the only advantage I can think of is the one you already mentioned first.
Yet another reason why Super Mario All-Stars is a better deal than Virtual Console downloads. Not only can I play it in any Wii at any time, but I can actually play it in multiple Wiis at once. Once it's loaded in one Wii, I can pop the disc into another system and load it up again. Whoo-hoo!
