Topic: E3 2010 Day 2 - Nintendo Press Conference Thread

There's good stuff here but is very clear that Nintendo and I are no longer on the same page.  Nintendo may still make games I enjoy, but they have no idea about what gets me excited.  They're all about sequels and franchises and motion control.  They don't realize how underwhelming it is for me to find out Retro is just working on Donkey Kong or that Zelda may in fact control like complete piss.  What to expect from Nintendo these days is franchises and quirky controls.  That's it, that's Nintendo.  And that's super lame to me.

This isn't a bad E3 lineup I suppose but it just lacks excitement for me personally.  Nintendo is strictly formula and I'm not interested in that.

Ian Sane, we already know your stance with Nintendo because you mention it in every game's thread. I'm sorry Nintendo doesn't offer you what you want anymore, but I think you should focus on what little they still make that does interest you, and try to have positive discussions about that.

You know, you're right.  I wonder after yesterday's disasterous Ubisoft Press Conference tried to show off their own Vitality Sensor rip-off, they suddenly realized showing that on stage doesn't work.

B.) Three hours later isn't bad considering all of us had better things to do than babysit.
C.) Not a single post from either one of them was reported the entire time before they received their 24 hour temp-bans.  Don't expect things to happen unless you take the time to report a post.

I can understand your point of view, but we were trying to watch the show as well and continue discussion between each other.  With how obvious Pro and Hulk were being, there didn't seem to be a point in marking them.  I'll try to remember that in the future, though.

I know you're joking, but this seems surprisingly apt.

And I know I seem like I'm complaining about the 3DS in other threads, but I'm pretty pumped for it.... if only for potential Resident Evil Jill. And while I'm not wowed by Skyward Sword, I'll probably end up buying it. I buy every Zelda game. I was hoping for some confirmation of The Last Story, but I'll live. Welcome back, Nintendo. We missed you.

HOLY **** @ the NEW Kirby game... talk about Imagination come to life. That looks incredible from an artistic standpoint.

Zelda looks like someone put the Wind Waker filter over Twilight Princess. I like it. Gotta see how it plays though.

EPIC Mickey actually looks really good too. Thanks Mop it up for the video you posted earlier in the other thread.

- The long-awaited Pikmin game is a no-show. Miyamoto says that, because of the 3DS and Zelda, if Pikmin had been shown off today as well it would have been overshadowed.

Zelda really wouldn't matter though since it's 2011 (and I'm guessing late 2011) so I doubt Pikmin 3 is going come anytime this year.  Nice to see DK return and new Kirby game (nintendo's dissing alot of love to platformers this genertaion compare to the GC era).  Overall, the big news like 3DS was leaked months ago and Zelda was ho-hum so for me the star so far is Epic Mickey.
