Ha ha, the audience laughed at THQ.

I got a good chuckle out of that, myself.  Man, how the mighty have fallen.

Look at all these sequels and literally NO new IPs.

Well, at least Kid Icarus is a sequel to a really old NES game instead of something much more recent.

Wow, that 3DS trailer was kind of dumb, though Reggie almost saved it.

Yeah, I suppose. But really. I can't even REMEMBER last time a new IP was announced by Nintendo.

Oh man Nintendo's train of bitches.

Well, I'm sure these 3DS stage demos are really cool in person, but it just doesn't play over the internet.

And the Press Conference is over!  Huh.

Yeah,  I'm actually surprised in retrospect that we got absolutely nothing in terms of pricing for the 3DS, especially after Microsoft made the same mistake yesterday with Kinect.

You know, the 3DS sounds pretty super cool.

Too bad it's a handheld.

So, everyone's impression of this shorter-than-expected Press Conference?  I thought it was good overall (especially after yesterday), though the technical problems with Zelda and the lack of information about that game's structure bother me.  I would have liked to see actual Metroid Other M gameplay footage up on stage as well.  The 3DS section was surprisingly unimpressive, though a new Kid Icarus was cool.  And it's going to take a long time for me to get over Retro, the artistic wizards of the Metroid Prime series, reduced to working on a new Donkey Kong Country.
