I'm a bit disappointed overall. I was hoping for more Mario games, at least something released this year. And I think the 3DS is lame, and couldn't care less. But that's mostly because I don't like portables.

I thought it was a good conference, though I've only been reading the Liveblog. Zelda sounds kind of wonky. I'm excited about the Kirby game (especially after seeing some screenshots), and a little underwhelmed by the DK Country Returns and Goldeneye announcements. I wish Retro was given the green light to do their own thing, but oh well.

More focus on Other M would've been nice, and the 3DS, too. I KNEW it was going to be another DS "skew," not something completely different. I look forward to my colleagues' impressions from the show floor.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

What they showed of Other M was awesome though. Lots of new areas, less emphasis on the story, shows that it still has the exploratory element as a main game play idea.

We all knew it would be shaped like a DS. It's called the 3DS for a reason.

Probably the big disappointment for me was confirmation that Zelda was being pushed back to next year.  Yeah, I was already certain it would be, but just seeing it stated outright made me sad.  I really wish Retro had been allowed to actually create a new IP for Nintendo rather than be shackled to Donkey Kong.

EDIT:  Plus, replacing Zelda with Kirby and Donkey Kong is such an obvious step-down it's disheartening.  Definitely nothing for me from Nintendo this Fall.

Well, I think the 3DS is really awesome, because we've never seen anything like it, and it must be pretty impressive to be drawing all this third-party support so quickly. However, video games are an inside activity, and if I'm inside, I have a TV.

I would rather Zelda be delayed and be awesome than rushed.

I'm not saying it's a bad idea (especially given the technical problems we were seeing) that it was delayed, just that it disappoints me.  With Zelda pushed back, there's nothing for me this Fall on Wii aside from Epic Mickey (which looks awesome).

Everbody keeps using the word "delayed" in relation to Zelda, but to my knowledge, they never announced any sort of release date.

PROTIP: It's not "delayed" just because that's when the fanboys thought it was coming.

I could have sworn that Iwata said earlier this year that Zelda was releasing this year, even if Reggie then immediately contradicted him and gave the old "we'll release it when it's ready" line.

Nintendo and Iwata are evil masterminds; they tricked MS and Sony into making shitty causal games and blew them away with awesome core games!

You know, you're right.  I wonder after yesterday's disasterous Ubisoft Press Conference tried to show off their own Vitality Sensor rip-off, they suddenly realized showing that on stage doesn't work.

Plus, the Vitality Sensor presentation last year didn't go over so well. I'm guessing they still might not have any games yet to show with it, so they are holding it off for now.

Anyone notice there's a new Paper Mario for 3DS?

Looks new. There's enemies I haven't seen in any of the previous games. And the graphics look just like The Thousand Year Door.
