Marth still speaks Japanese while Ike speaks English :/

I was glad for that; it both creates continuity with Melee and gives Ike and Marth different cultural personalities. It's not like Ike's dialogue was so great you wanted twice as much of it anyway...

What annoys me is Ike's mouth moves to fit the JP dialogue, not the english =/

Same with Pit; it's a little bit of a distraction, but I still think it's worth it to have the voices the way they are. Wonder why they couldn't reprogram the lipflap though...

Ok here are all my nitpicks all in one friendly list:

1. Clones
2. Gimped Target Test Mode
3. Online not counting towards challenges (I mean how hard would that have been?) it makes no sense.
4. SSE sucks
5. Online sucks for the most part in random play
6. Needed more assist trophies
7. Feels too much of the same. Lack of Wii controls of any kind.

A friend of mine brought this to my attention, you can't set what music you want in Sound Test and listen to it while you go through your trophies.

Yeah, the shake smash boosted the Wii-control level to about Twilight Princess standards, which was fine by me considering the fact that Smash Bros. wouldn't work at all with full on-motion control.

Clones: no, Target Test: maybe but I was never fond of it in the first place, Online not counting towards challenge: good considering not everyone's blessed with an internet connection, SSE sucks: no, Online sucks: well it's certainly not stellar but I'm not a major net player, Assist trophies: yes (mainly because I'm still scratching my head on why Midna and Roselia were left out), Feels the same: Not at all, and where it does, it's in a good way.

I'm actually glad they provided a legitimate Trophy song to put in the background for the mode; I'd rather have a BGM that was appropriate then the peppy regular menu song or Kirby's Green Greens or whatever like in Melee.

I see that argument for why there shouldn't be any special to be unlocked vy playing online but a Multiplayer match is a Multiplayer match, a Multi-Man Melee is a Multi-Man Melee, and a Home Run is a Home Run.  They should count exactly like there offline equivalents.  Now for the opposite of your argument;  How is that fair to the people who aren't blessed by many friends to locally play with?

I cannot complain enough about the full rooster when there was so much hype behind the third party characters only to have damn snake  and  sonic!

and no skull kid anywhere, that is travesty.

Also, not enough assist trophies, there are more pokemon than assist trophies, that is terrible!

No point and click with the remote on the menus and stage builder. On the menus it's not that big a deal, but the stage builder would be so much smoother if I could use the IR pointing.

Betting on matches.  You can bet up to 100 coins, right?  But if you go over, then it resets to 1 coin.  There's no way to go back to 100, short of slamming the button over and over... and time runs out by then.

You can hit the down button once.  :D

I hate the fact that I have to enter my profile name every time I switch modes (e.g. from Classic Mode to Home Run Contest).  (Has this one been mentioned yet?)

Nitpicking is not allowed in the Nitpicking thread.

Agreed; I'm sorry I didn't put my nuzzle on before entering the board. And c'mon, I'm the guy who started the Anti-Nitpick thread; my intentions are pretty much upfront.

But alright, I wouldn't have objected towards online matches counting toward rewards. It's just that I was "raised" on CPU battles in Melee, so I can see (what I assume is) their intention of not counting online matches, as it would discourage people who still find online intimidating but CPU battles "boring" from going for those bonuses. It's not perfect logic, but I'm just tired of people not accepting that what's in the game's in the game. You're shaving years (maybe months...weeks) off your life fretting over these things. Though this board isn't 1/8th as bad about this as IGN's...geez laweez.

Sometimes, your character will turn around by accident, and I don't just mean in online games. Also, your character will sometimes double-roll, and this is something other's have noticed and reported as well.

Some characters seem to trip and fall more than others. I was learning Metaknight the other day and the bastard trips a LOT.

I've noticed both of these.  The former happens to me a lot with side-B moves like Link's boomerang and Snake's nikita.

And I think the latter has to do with Brawl queuing your input.  In previous Smash Bros. games I got in the habit of mashing my next attack repeatedly until it came out so it would happen as soon as whatever I was currently doing finished.  In Brawl, this seems to result in old input taking precedence over whatever I'm trying to do at the current moment.

Also, has anyone yet pointed out that the high score display on 75m is only for the current match and not the actual all-time high score?  Lame.

It gets even worse online. Nothing is more irritating than rolling backwards as Pit with the intention of following up with an arrow to the face of my opponent than realizing that the game has spun me around at the same time.

Also, online lag kills fast character's abilities to do...well, anything. It often queues A moves and will bring Metaknight into his hold-A combo, usually after the game has accidentally made him face the wrong direction, so now I'm slashing wildly while my opponent gets a free shot at my back.

Well, that's part of the built-in nerfing of Metaknight; if you could cancel that move, it'd give you an unfair advantage. Or something.
