If Sakurai spends the last four updates before the game's launch TALKING ABOUT THE F*CKING OPTIONS MENU, then I think we can safely say that he's trying to REDUCE hype for the game to avoid more people complaining about not getting a copy of Brawl when it releases in Japan...

If Sakurai doesn't drop at least one final "MEGATOOOOOOOOOOONNN!" on the blog before launch, then he's wasted a golden opportunity.

We already had an options menu update...So 2 down, 4 more to go...

At this rate, though, it won't matter. Hopefully, when sites get their import copy we get far more valuable information than anything Sakurai dishes out on the blog.

In all honesty, I would've preferred the blog had one update a week about something substantial and that was the end of it (preferably on a weekend).

What really sucked is that the one night I didn't bother staying up to see the update (because the updates were sucking so badly lately), Sonic was announced.

Since the updates range from "absolutely epic" to "widescreen, LOL!", I feel perfectly justified in preferring he update once a week or at random when he had something substantial to show us.

It also would've made it so, in the event of a delay, he didn't have to pull out garbage updates for the sake of stalling for time.

Doesn't surprise me.

Brawl has so much crap in it that I wouldn't be surprised if it was larger than two Animal Crossing towns.

This update was not spectacular, but it shows we get the japanese arrangements too, that's cool. I was assuming they would leave them out

Nice, Battle for Strom Hill was my favourite song from Jungle Beat by far. It's one of the two VGM tracks I have on my computer.

So, not that the particular music shown confirms anything, but there are theme songs for characters on leaked rosters, such as King K.Rool, Ridley, Wolf, Marth, and Ashley.

Again, not sure if that means anything or not.

Here's a nice (with some glitches) recording of a bit of the Dark World Theme and Ocarina Medley for everyone...The Dark World Theme is AMAZING...

Also the full version of the Fire Emblem Theme, Gourmet Race, Ocarina of Time's Hyrule Field, a Kirby Boss remix, the Halbard and a Kirby Adventure Medley has been released. Anyone that want can download the file here. Of course for some reason the Kirby Adventure Medley file is called Kirby 64 Medley, even though none of the music in it is from Kirby 64 and it's all from Adventure.

All I have to say is F*CK YEAH. Brawls music is godly on so many levels it's just amazing how Sakurai and Nintendo were able to make something like this, it's just amazing. The Kirby Adventure Medley makes me want to cry tears of joy at how beatiful it is.

Oh and the update on the site was also Megaton worthy to me for these reasons.

Dude!! All of that music is awesome!! I'm glad that they took the time to update the Hyrule Field theme with better samples as I originally thought they would just copy the N64 theme exactly as it was. This soundtrack is going to be amazing! Thanks for whetting my appetite a bit Bill and Luigi Dude.

He already went through them one by one in that update. That's what he meant.

i dont think i like how it lets you choose which alt. character you want to play as before the match starts like that (ie, you put your icon on sheik/zelda then you get to pick which you'll start the fight out as, same goes for pokemon trainer).

it takes away the slight surprise from the initial fight. i would of prefered the "hold b" method
