Oh well, this should give Sakurai another week for him to start dropping megatons (he OWES the US fans one after delaying the game three times now (remember, it was going to be a Wii launch title at one point) ).

I think the one week delay was so Nintendo could somewhat justify the delay here. It is like "Well it was delayed in Japan so that is why were delaying it here" figuring that no one will catch on that it is a ONE MONTH delay.

I remember S_B saying that delaying the game would be a good idea because right now the Wii can't stay on shelves, so with the delay Nintendo can prep up more systems so that people can buy it along with the game.

Admit it you two, you are on the verge of swallowing your pride and joining everyone else on the Sakurai hate fest .

Well at least I was proven right when I said there would be another delay. That is kind of good, right? Lol.

About the systems being on the shelves, that better not be the reason because Melee proved that the series is a on-going high seller throughout the lifespan of the system.

Dragonquest Swords is also supposed to come out in February. No more heroes was set to be released in February but that was moved to January.

If that is true, Bill, I suspect fanboys will hate Wii Fit even more than before.

At first, my heart sunk when I read the delay, like when someone tells you a relative has died or something.  But, with Wii Fit taking its place, I feel better.  I want SSBB, but I need Wii Fit.  I need to get my lard @$$ exercising.

Also, I'm now using the SSBB release date as a goal of sorts.  I have to get my new graphic novel finished by then so that I can fully devote myself to playing!

Well the delay sucks ass but it's still due out in about 2 weeks in Japan so I will know everything I want to know in a short amount of time, which is still a good thing.

To also help get this back to the update of the day, that Pikmin level has me excited.  I always thought of the planet that Olimar landed on an alternate Earth and he is really small. This could still be the case since these fighters are actually just figurines brought to life through some crazy magic.

I think Wii Ware will see a delay too. Nintendo hasn't said anything about it since their conference in 2007 and the March date is pretty vague, as in it could get changed. Also, wasn't the March date for the Japanese release? They didn't say anything about the US release.

Also, Nintendo HATES to compete with themselves. Wii Ware is a big project for them, one they have spent lots of money on. They can't afford to have it flop because they decided to launch it near Brawl.

So I wouldn't worry about Brawl competing with Wii Ware.

The March issue came about when the makers of Project Bang mentioned March and Nintendo issued a statement saying March wasn't the date.

Argh delay. This foils plans to take it with me to Australia where I will be from March 3rd-17th.  At least we can take solace in that the game is DONE since the delay in JPN is minimal.  Apparently word going around is that they were having problems with the netcode or something for online play with larger numbers of people so they are fixing the JPN version first, then fixing the others.
