Raine and sheena for Hawtness. It would be Raine only for not that slinky Kimono Sheena wears.

I'm glad so many people like Raine.  The guy I tried to get into Tales of Symphonia thought I was crazy.

I have no problem with the voice actors. They are far better than most of the voice actors you hear on TV. Especially any of that 4Kids stuff.

It's funny you should say that, since I can pick out every voice actor in the game from something I've seen a lot of on TV.  Lloyd = Robin from Teen Titans, for example.  I do like the cast, though.  Some of my favorite voice actors are in it.

OK the release date for Japan has been confermed as June 26th this year 3 days after my birthday. So this begs the question when are getting the game here? I think in between the 15th of October and and the 15th of November. What do you think?

January - March 09 in my opinion.

RPGs are rarely big holiday games in the states.  Therefore companies usually like to slot them into other dead times throughout the year.

Well big titles like Final Fantasy and such.

I think our only chance of it hitting this fall is if Nintendo doesn't have any big first party games to fill in the season, which I hope isn't the case.

This is why I don't like not knowing when titles come out. The only title that I can think of coming out is Diasaster:DOC in November. This is annoying.

Huh... Early 2009 is your pediction for ToS:KoR? ... that wouldn't be too bad of a time for it to hit as long as Nintendo doesn't do another Smash Brother's major release in early Spring.

Depends on how soon Nintendo got the english translations started.  ToS was a good summer-fall game.  In fact, it was damn good for a whole 2 years on co-op.

Either it comes out later this year, or it comes out at the same time as the Euro version in 2011.

To provide some indication, the Japerneez game and the Yankee version were released about ONE YEAR APART.

The Euro version was lucky to get the game in the same calendar year as the Yank version, just 4 months later.

1up interview Tales dev goons

`` 1UP: So you decided to make a game on the Wii, then chose Symphonia as your base.

TK: Right. Once we chose to make a Wii Tales game, Symphonia followed along soon after, since that was on a Nintendo platform and also happens to be the bestselling title in the series.

1UP: The bestselling in the series? More so than Abyss?

TK: Oh yes. Abyss didn't sell in North America. [Laugh] ``

`` You have to think about what sort of game would be best for the sort of customer each console attracts, so putting Tales out on the Wii could be called a mismatch, but we see it as a calculated business risk because there are no other RPGs. If that wasn't the case and we simply released a hardcore-oriented game, we'd fail, obviously. I think it's the right choice. ``

So what do you call Tales 360, Namco?  You think that's going to sell like hotcakes?  I sure as hell hope not...Let's think here...

Wii fanbase = Gamecube fanbase + crapload more...
Tales of Symphonia = biggest Tales seller in recent history...actually make that EVER...
Tales of Symphonia sequel + Wii = possible MISMATCH!?

Let's use that squishy mass inside your heads, okay Namco?

And people wonder why Nintendo fans have negative feelings towards third parties.  Watch as the Wii Tales, outsells the 360/PS3 Tales games by about 5 times as many copies, and yet Namco will then immediatly announce 3 new Tales games, all for only the 360/PS3.

It's just like how Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube, is the best selling Tales game of all time.  But because the PS2 port of the game sold 100,000 more copies in Japan, Namco suddenly announces the rest of the Tales series will only be PS2 exclusive.  Even though Tales of Symphonia created a huge Tales fanbase worldwide on the Gamecube, because the PS2 Japan only port outsold the Gamecube version in Japan by not even a large margin, that was all Namco needed to completly remove all Gamecube support.

You see everyone, that's how third party support works on a Nintendo system.  Release nothing but scraps and look for any reason you can to pull all support, even if your already giving it hardly any support in the first place.

Some people are hard to please. You're getting upset over an interview.... but the game is still coming to the Wii. What are you complaining about? The producers can say whatever they want, but that doesn't change the fact that THE GAME IS STILL COMING TO THE WII!

Well because of idiotic reasoning like the above we missed out on playing the post-Symphonia Tales games. Who's to say that won't happen again?

(by above I meant that expressed in the interviews)

It looks as though this game does have a nice fanbase after all, I remember for the longest time nobody really even hearing of this game yet alone the fact that it is a franchise.  I am so excited for this game to come out.

When I found out that Nintendo Power was gonna have a cover story on it, i was anxious for the issue only to realize my subscription ended just before that issue came out....it resulted in me subscribing again waiting a few days then i just said f@ck it and went to the store to pick up the mag, lol.  Oh and yes i now have 2 issues of the mag...

To be honest though i think I'm more excited about the DS one.
