Jump power does not necessarily have to mean jump height, they could just mean that the move does more damage or moves faster when charged but the actual height of the jump stays the same.

Besides the move may not even be chargeable in the air, or it could cover a very usable, in the sense of a third jump, distance when uncharged. All I can say is I do not know.

Well, I guess it was far overdue for them to add Meta Knight back to the site...

I wonder if they are even going to bother with a special move update for him?

But yeah, this has been LOONNNNNNNNNNGG overdue.

Well, they technically already did. But anyway. I'm assuming that Sakurai didn't have anything planned and just threw this together last minute.

I find it funny how they admit that his profile was delayed, as if there's something more to him.

With Meta finally introduced the only one left is Snake. Afterwards the rest are going to be Melee veterans and newcomers. Hopefully there will be more character updates and reveals soon.

I personally think that Metaknight got the raw deal on his reveal.  Has has no captions to go with his pictures and not that clever of wording.

Most of the other character reveals were that way. A lot of them just came with movesets.

Maybe now we can get the original crew revealed? Still haven't heard from Ness, Falcon, JP, etc. yet...

I bet you it was delayed because they finally decided to make Metaknight unlocked from the get go.  I could see him locked originally.

Well Bill you got your wish, Pokemon Stadium has finally been revealed.

I wonder what the electric setting will be like.

As far as Mario having a new down B, I think the tornado has replaced the cape as the side B move.

If my hypothesis is correct I wonder if Luigi will loose the Green missile, it being replaced by the tornado as well, and his down B becomes the Polturgust. That would just be awesome.

It says Mario Tornado is a NORMAL attack. Not a special.

Now that you bring it up, it may in fact be a normal move, I just figured the update was trying to lead us off course with the remark regarding the possibility of it becoming a normal move. I think though that it will either be down A in the air, replacing the drill kick, or it is merely what happens when you press down B in the air. My reason for believing this is that in both the picture in this update as well as the second trailer (Mario uses it relatively close to the beginning) It appears to only be used in the air.

Well this puts a damper on my wish that they will remove or change (in a way that would be more fitting for the character, at least in my opinion) Luigi's green missile, I hate that move, but at least it opens up the possibility that Luigi will get the Poltergust.

It does not directly say that the tornado is a normal move now it only hints at it, what with the comment being in the form of a question with a question mark, and an exclamation mark, at the end. Given how Sakurai works though, the tornado probably is a normal move now, but there is still the possibility that the remark was meant to fool us.

Yeah, every damn thing he says on the site has question marks... I don't see what point would be in misleading people about it.

I love the new Pokemon Stadium, and am looking forward to seeing how things actually play in Flying Type mode.

The first thing that came to me when I saw the FLUDD move was that it could be very useful in a team battle, where one person as Mario could use the FLUDD to keep the opponents at bay while another as Link or Pit or Samus let loose a bunch of ranged attacks.

Oh wow, cant believe I didnt catch this before...

If you look closely you can see mario with his cape, just a confirmation that its still there...phew.  If you want to see it for yourself look at the part of the E3 trailer right before metaknight is shown and keep your eye on Mario. Sorry if this was already confirmed :P

Sorry, after rereading what I wrote it did come off as a little rude. I was just trying to say that the comment really did not go either way in say definitively that the Tornado is a normal move now.

As for why they would want to mislead, I do not know, maybe just to have a little fun with the audience, or maybe they wanted us to go and discuss the possible ramifications of a character having a special move become a normal move so that if they drop something like Peach losing the Peach Bomber we won't immediately freak out because we would be used to the idea.

I had not noticed that before, thanks.

I guess I just want Luigi's old side B to be changed or removed so bad that I just try and create ways for it to be gone. It does relieve me to see that the Cape is still in though, SMW is my favorite Mario game (that is of course if you count Yoshi's Island as a separate series).
