I don't see it being a big concern because
1) In a lot of games the arm will not be moving 1:1 with your controller movement, but rather approximating where a cursor is pointing.
2) Most of the Wii characters I've seen are not even trying to be photorealistic (Wii Sports)
3) It's unusual in a game for your own character to be the focus of your attention... you should be looking at what you're aiming at, not how your aiming arm looks.
