I can't imagine what the other secret would be. Headset/mic? Hope it's something cool.

Maaaaaaaan, at least they could have released some new pics/footage of the new Zelda to keep us entertained for the following weeks. I already know there's something extra-special on the NRS, we all know that. Damn Nintendo and Shiggy. I'm angry at them but I will still get it, no doubt about it.

It has to do with the controller due to the context of the speech. Just before he said it; he was talking about the nunchuck.

It could be a mic in the egg piece, innovative finger mechanics yet shown for the peripherals, or augmented reality. Whatever it is; it has to do with the interface.

This is exciting.

I've read they didn't tell anyone about the touchscreen on the DS until late in the game.

So I'd guess this Revolution secret is some feature or innovation that's fairly substantial.

I would eliminate microphone altho having voice features more integrated into games could be exciting. But I'm not sure how they would do that with the controller setup they have. Voice recognition would seem to require a mic next to your mouth. I just can't picture that being a requirement for every game.

Local wireless play? This isn't it either. AT least this isn't the secret feature. I'm pretty sure this is already assumed because they said the Revolution will be wi-fi. If Cubes can be hooked up together to play Mario Kart

D with wires then this is already in there.

I don't even know where to guess myself.

Analog buttons? Eh I just don't see as being a big secret.

I might guess that some old games could be played with over wi-fi or updated graphics of old games or you'll be able to use the controller in older games. But that doesn't seem like a big feature to keep secret either.

Maybe it will be hi-def after all? lol.

mic on the controller? that wouldn't function well.... seeing as I'd be moving it around and it wouldn't exactly be close to one's mouth.

How about just support for wireless headsets? Being able to use a standard bluetooth one would be nice, but I'd settle for some in house solution (after all, accessories are a major source of revenue they don't easily give up).

- I would definitely want a headset. Not a cheap mic on the unit itself. But something (anything) to communicate with.

- Works as part of a DS Player

- Controllers speak to each other (what uses might this have?)

- Audio/speaker feedback, like a sword clash, fishing reel, or light saber swing.

Well lets think deductively....

Disregarding some mind-blowing invention, this "secret" has to fall within two categories: controller modification and attachment.

My guess is a gyroscopic nun-chuck for punch out bliss.

Much like the GameBoy Player was done on the GCN (...and I guess the Super GameBoy for the SNES)...I think the new REV controller will mimick the touch screen functionality of the DS and allow us to play DS games on a tv set.

Hmmm...that was too far-fetched...back to the drawing board.

cubist, that's what I was thinking too, when somebody mentioned the DS. How big that is though is the question. I suppose you wouldn't have to buy a DS but I can't really imagine Nintendo giving that functionality away either. However this dual DS functionality would support whoever was saying a mic on the controller.

Was it Perrin who said something about them unveiling the part of the DS that was easier to understand first? It would have to be pretty mind-blowing to be harder to understand than what they already have.

Heh, I also thought that they just recently confirmed this (probably Merrick), and additionally, you can play single-disc LAN games similar to the DS...

I consulted Negrodamus, and after our conversation it is very clear what the secret is.....Two controllers can be connected together at the "butt" for the single purpose of playing as Darth Maul. Suspense over.

this idea appeals to me. similar to the direction apple has taken with it's mighty mouse (for those of you who dont know, apple's mighty mouse has a built in speaker for a deeper level of sensory immersion)
