Oh God, Brisco was such a great show.  My friend introduced it to me just this past summer, he got it on pirated DVD, the show is brilliant.  I love it.

I find it sad, also, that this is the same network that's promoting tripe like Stacked..might as well watch porn; nobody out there is tuning in for the antics of Doc Brown.

I liked the part where someone commented that having sex with a mentally disabled person is wrong, and the narrator agreed out of nowhere, like he was having a conversation.

And when Super Dave got fired...awesome!
That's my opinion, not yours.

ABC and Showtime Pursuing Arrested?
Source: Variety
December 14, 2005

Fox still hasn't officially canceled Arrested Development, but if it does, other networks are interested in the show, reports Variety.

Both ABC and Showtime have had conversations with 20th Century Fox TV and indicated they're open to making a deal for new episodes of the critically beloved, Emmy-winning comedy from creator Mitch Hurwitz. No formal negotiations have taken place, and there are still numerous hurdles that might prevent such a move -- including the show's hefty pricetag.

Deal w/ Showtime?

Word around town this week is that Showtime is in talks with "Arrested Development" producers 20th Century Fox TV and Imagine TV about picking up the comedy from creator/executive producer Mitch Hurwitz says The Hollywood Reporter.

I am personally hoping more for NBC cause ABC sux and I don't wanna pay $15-20 a mo. for Showtime just to watch the show.

You could just download the episodes.  Or wait for the DVD.

what comes on ABC? I can't remember the last time I have actually watched a show on that channel.

especially not a show that would compliment AD enough to draw in a new crowd that would watch AD if only because it came on before/after their favorite show.

But if I'm wrong, please let me know.

It'd be great if Showtime picked it up.  It hosts the kind of audience that would watch it and appreciate it, and while I wouldn't be able to watch it on a weekly basis (except maybe downloading), I could buy the DVDs.  All I want is to make sure they keep making it.

It is rumored that an annoucement is to take place sometime this week that ABC picked up a 13 episode run of AD.

I don't know if its true, but

If ABC picks it up, great.  If Showtimes picks it up, I'll just have to get Showtime.

Also, last night's episode, did anyone else,  beside me, notice that early in the episode the dialogue didn't match the people's lips.  I usually don't watch lips on the show but last night I did and saw that the lips were still moving but the dialogue had stopped?

I didn't notice.  I think it might be that you've gone insane, nitsu.  Again.

Yeah, Showtime...I hope they don't pick it up, simply because I don't have it and I'm sorry but AD isn't worth 20 dollars a month.  Great news if ABC picks it up.

Sorry to bump this - but you guys'll be happy to know that, just because of you guys, I sat down and watched an episode of the show. And then I went out and rented a dvd of the first few episodes. And then I went out and bought the first season boxed set. And then I got a DVR so I wouldn't miss anymore episodes on tv.

Oh, as for it's failing, I think it has more to do with Fox's lousy marketing. And the fact that, it's hard for a show to gain viewers mid-run when you pretty much have to watch every episode to get anything out of it. Regardless, I do hope someone else picks it up - even if it's showtime, which I won't be getting anytime in the near future, casue there's always the DVDs.

Now excuse me while I go out and buy the second season.

Save yourself the trouble.  The second season sucks.  The third is even worse.  (By the way, this is coming from someone who thinks the first season has some of the greatest sitcome writing since the early days of Seinfeld.)

Whatever.  You can't deny that the show has gone downhill since the first season.

I think the show has only gotten funnier.  I would argue that there's too much callback humor (some is nice, but they inject too much), but otherwise it's great.
