Don't get me wrong Paladin I also don't care if Rev is less powerful than other two, I'm just assuming if it is as powerful and even then alot of people will still say that Rev is weaker because it is smaller and that is something Nintendo should avoid happening.

No, Killzone does look lovely.

X360 doesn't seem that dated though... Gears of War especially.

I'm getting the feeling that both consoles will be extremely comparable visually, but developers will just have to work harder to get nice graphics out of the X360.

We've already reached the plateau as far as I'm concerned.

Caliban, don't worry, I wasn't bashing you or anything, just giving my opinion. You're probably right though, people in general will see the Rev as less powerful. It's inescapable.

The graphics are great, I agree.

The rest, however...

And I just had a humorous thought. Square showed a tech demo of FFVII. Anyone remember the last time they showed a tech demo for FVII? Yes, that's right, back the first time Nintendo debued it's Ultra 64

Am I wrong to assume the power and eject buttons are just touch spots? (which I think is a good idea)

Wow that design is really ugly, I don't think that would fit anywhere.  It could easily rock of a table.  The controller is just terrible.  It looks uncomfortable to hold, and just looks bad.  And this "welcome chang3" is total BS, It's not a change at all, its just better graphics.  Can't say this gen has shown me anything yet, don't let me down Nintendo.
It may be simple, but it ain't easy.

Power just isn't that important. Small size will only help Nintendo, as long as the console looks sleek and cool. People understand that graphics have pretty much reached their peak and that technology is getting ridiculously small. People exclaiming 'wow, that thing's tiny!' is a huge plus (see also: powerbook, mac mini, ipod mini).

Right now it's looking like Nintendo will have the smallest system, the most innovative controller, the best launch game (I, know, too early to tell...but how can they not beat what Microsoft/Sony seem to be offering?), and out-of-the-box dvd playback. For the casual gamer, who chooses what he buys based on what he sees in the store display, these are all huge wins for Nintendo.

So I just saw the pictures... I have to say, I think the controller looks ok, and anyway, theres no way you can judge a controller by just looking, is mandatory to hold it in your hnds to see if it works or not. The graphics are ok too. but... yeah... no "wow" here.

Nintendo can still have the advantage in design and this could be vital. When Sony recieves the reaction they'll probably make some changes, though they'd be slight.

ItThe PS3 looks pretty okay, I guess.  I hate the "Spiderman movie" font on the front though...ICK.  The controller looks pretty disgusting to me, too.  I mean, it looks like a controller of some obscure failed system or one of those "one game" consoles or...does anyone actually know what I'm going on about?

KN gives it a

Graphics?  What?  I am not wowed at all by a picture on which a guy's shoulder has three distinct points on it.

Realistic graphics aren't impressive because I can turn on ESPN2 and see the same thing.  Art direction becomes more important.  Also I think about how it would feel with that controller.  The spraying sweat did look nice though, but the expressions of the fighters were goofy.  This is all on Final Night Round 3.

EDIT:  A friend of mine just told me that that controller design has been floating around for awhile, and is probably a fake.  I hope so, the thing is hideous.

I think they tried to make the fighters look too photo realistic, and that's why they seeem "off". Thankfully, most devs this gen seem to have realized that humans look better in games if they're slightly stylized.

I'd say Shinji & Co. did a pretty good job with Resident Evil humans on GameCube.  No bumpy-mapped plasticky skin, just good skin.

Anyone else concerned that almost every single game shown for the 360 and PS3 are either photo-reliastic shooters, driving games, or anime-overloaded fighters? I haven't seen a single game yet that has much spirit...

And the greyish haze that seems to float around in most of these games annoys me too. Real life isn't hazy like that.

The second Tekken shot, however, was what I consider to be next-gen. Impressed.

What is the point of the controller looking like half a steering wheel? if it was a Gyroscope in that thing then I would say hell yeah!!! I love the system design. One thing. The specs of this systems has got to push the price of this thing in to the mid $400 dollor range. I'm talking 449.99=tax (unless you live in Delawere). This almost ensures Nintendo to drop the motherload of info 2maro. Mmm Boy, good good stuff indeed.
