Yes, I think it looks very sleek and nice as well. The actual shape of it isn't very practicle, but it looks nice none the same.

EDIT: Just saw the controller... lol. Looks more like a weapon than anything else, man does that look uncomfortable.

LOL the PS3 controller is a distaster

So no games footage was shown at all? Does this mean Nintendo will ease off on Revolution stuff or give us a complete blowout? If they show everything, and say it'll launch at the same time as PS3, it will look like Nintendo will have much more ready for launch than Sony.

Self Note: there is no need to post links of things that already are shown.

That controller looks too uncomfortable to use.

Aesthetically, the controller's pretty cool.
But no controller innovations at all? Not even a trackball? Score one for Nintendo.
I was really afraid Sony and Microsoft would take Nintendo's big talk and shove it in their face with unexpected awesomeness, but it looks like that won't be happening. So, hooray, I guess.

Yeah I heard you can use it as a boomerang/ remote control to turn off your PS3 by throwing it at the console before seeing it magically return to you. Nintendo really need that design if they want next-gen Zelda realism.

At least now we know the reason behind the "welcome chang3" ads. It's a plea.

PYEdentify Voice Recognition Game ? Old west game from Rockstar. "super gory wolfenstein style fps" from insomniac.

# Tekken -- Namco.

# Killzone -- Guerilla

# Vision Gran Turismo -- Polyphony Digital

# Formula One -- Sony Liverpool

# Untitled Old West Game -- Rockstar

# Oh-Ni -- Koei

# Mobile Suit Gundam -- Bandai

# Devil May Cry 4 -- Capcom

# Super Gory Wolfensdtein Style FPS -- Insomniac

# Metal Gear Solid 4 -- Konami

# PYEdentify Voice Recognition Game -- SCEA

# Fifth Phantom Saga -- Sega

# Heavenly Sword -- Sony

That's even worse than the PS2 launch lineup... and I bet not all of those games will even make it out at launch.

There is no way in hell that I would want that thing to return to me, even if it does turn off PS3's. I want it to turn off PS3's and then explode.

C'est la PS3 vue d'en haut.

It's just an isometric view with the PS3 stacked vertically.

I already posted that pic 2 post above.

Sony has mentioned in the past that its new handheld and its upcoming console would get along together, but it wasn't until the big unveiling of the PS3 that concrete details have been available on how this will come together.

In its PS3 unveiling, SCE announced that the PlayStation 3 would have support for USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and online networking. Those first two are the biggest concerns for PSP owners, as Sony officially confirmed that the Wi-Fi configuration of the PS3 would allow the PSP to wirelessly connect with the home console. No wires, no connectors, no muss, no fuss. Of course, the PSP also has outlets for the USB 2.0, which might allow for corded connections as well as wireless, if necessary.

PSP won't just be used for wireless file transfers -- according to the official specs for the system, the PSP can be used as a controller for the console. Whether PSP will be used as a PS3 controller much is up to developers -- the GBA and GameCube got along great together, and the PSP obviously has a lot more capable hardware to do interesting things than that duo. Whether PS3 developers enjoy that gimmick of a system with a full-color screen or else decide to stick to the more complicated PS3 controller configuration is a matter we will find out in time.

Sony is a freakin genious, how come no one else thought to do this?  I bet this will be the best thing ever!!!

So apparently the Rev might be the smallest of all next-gen consoles and be as powerful as they will be...I wonder if consumers will say the same thing about Rev as I several times heard them saying that GC was small so it was less powerful than PS2 or XBOX.

Edit: Btw don't the triggers from new controller seem very unaccessible and kind of worse than Z-trigger on GC's controller?!

Edit 2: BlackNMild2k1, I hope that's a sarcastic remark.

I'm sorry... at this point I'm convinced that:

a) Nintendo's console won't be as powerful as either of the others.
b) All my attempts to give a crap will be fruitless.

And the PS3 controller is total ass. I can't find anything about it that I like, and I thoroughly dread having to play DMC4 and MGS4 on that worthless piece of garbage.

The official press relese in .pdf format

Playstation 3

They really are using the Spiderman font.  Maybe PS3 is to release right around when Spiderman 3 is to release in 2006.  march-june 2006?

edit: Caliban, I thought it was obvious

Am I the only one who thinks KillZone looks amazing? Same for Fight Night and Devil May Cry.
I know this was expected, but, wow, Xbox 360 suddenly seems so dated.

edit: the press release says launch will be in spring 2006. Actual launch date or tactic to eat into xbox 360's sales?
