I think the new one is a continutation of the story in the 1st one, but I wouldn't really know cause I have never played a Fire Emblem game before and have not really read much on the new one either.

That would be partly correct. One of the main characters in the new Fire Emblem was a kid named Sothe you could recruit from in the first Gamecube game. When you stumble upon him, he says he is looking for someone, which from the videos I've seen looks to be the young girl. So, same world, but it looks to happen a few years later. Hopefully some of the other characters will make a return too, here's hoping for Nephenee!

I don't think New Super Mario Bros. will surpass the original game in Japan, but it's sure getting close, isn't it? I just don't think DS will have the same legs as the NES, Nintendo will try to shift attention to something new sooner than it did with NES.

I wonder if Super Mario Galaxy can surpass the 1 million mark?

Even though Japanese don't seem to like 3D Mario platformers as much as the 2D ones, I think Galaxy will definitely pass a million over there. Mario has momentum with NSMB and the Wii is flourishing in Japan. Sunshine on the Cube sold nearly 900,000 - there's no reason Galaxy shouldn't be much more than that.

EDIT: I wonder how Super Paper Mario will do in Japan, but around the world also.

It was a good run but clearly here that the PS2 just isn't going to be beat. Though Yoshi Island is very surprising.
