I rented it yesterday. It's a very unique "game" if you can even call it that but it is REALLY funny. The dialogue is witty and actually very realistic. In fact, some of the characters in the game have almost identicle personalities to real life friends of mine. It's freaky. I was also really surprised by how edgy it is.
I figured it would have some mature content, but it would all be implied stuff. Some of it is but some is actuall very frank. No complaints though. Unlike other so called "mature" games, it's all in good fun. The game is challenging as well. The proper responces are not anywhere near as obvious as you'd think. It's not just about choosing the nice response over the nasty one. It is way more complicated than that and you really have to get into the character's heads to understand what will and won't please them or piss them off. Just like in real life, being a nice guy all the time won't get you girls. You have to mix it up.
I give the graphics high marks. The facial expressions of the characters really draw you into the game and there is a lot of really neat artwork between levels that can be viewed in the "museum". The music is catchy but never too distracting. The controls are basically a non-factor but I do wish it was a little easier to select commands with the touch-screen. The standard buttons can be used as well but I really wish the game could be played more comfortably with the touch-screen. Problem is the commands are so small and close together it's much to easy to select the wrong one. The fun-factor is WAY up there. The game is fun, funny, and addictive as hell. As for replay value. You'll beat it fast but I'm sure you'll want to play through it again just to see the different reactions. Being a nice guy might get you the girl but being a d*ck can have much more humorous results. In fact, I've spent a lot of the game just playing around choosing the most inappropriate commands possible. Like kissing your buddies or spraying your prospective girlfriend with pepper spray. This is also the kind of game you'll want to show off to friends. I don't know what the game is retailing for. DS games seem to vary between $30 and $40. It's at least worth $30. Assuming you already have SM64DS and Feel the Magic which are the only two DS games I give higher marks.
