This is my last idea, and more specifically for the DS. Its not really a game.

I think it would be possible to have large DS games on 2 or more cartridges. they could make a GBA cartridge as a memory card. you finish the first game things, download to the GBA mem card, pop in the second game thing, upload, and continue! since the game cartridge can store its, own save file, you only need the mem card for transferring to diff cartridges, which means you could get GBA mem cards seperately and use them for multiple games

I also think that Earthbound should be renewed. isnt Ness the only guy in SSBM that only had one game? they might as well have had a fifth pokemon instead! Earthbound was a great game, and it is deserving of sequels. I believe Ness has the potential to be like Mario and Link: a long living video favorite.

Lately Ive been playing Metroid a lot and I was thinking of how they always show her space ship and you can jump in to save and heal. I think it would be cool if they, at least once, split away from the 'walk around and shoot things' format to a 'fly around and shoot things' type of game. a Metroid flyer in the tradition of Star Wars Rogue Leader. That would be so fun! I love flying games (as long as you shoot stuff, so sims dont count) and I love Metroid, and just think of the crazy weopons they could put on that thing! there would be more of a choice than "do i want red lasers or do i want green lasers?" or "level 1: short range missiles, long range missiles, bombs. level 2: same thing. level 407: nothing new yet."
its like what they did to starfox but in reverse.

DS RULES!

its not that i hate the PSP, its just that i like the DS and Nintendo (who have the best games) and if Sony wants to compete in the handheld department, i have only one thing to say: PSP MUST DIE!

home consols are too good for pinball. mario pinball is the kind of thing you'd expect to be a mini-game on a larger mario 64/sunshine type game.

I dont think home consoles will ever have a pinball game. The GC is way too powerful, and i dont see anything they could add to make it push the limits of the system. even if the GC gets a pinball game, nintendo isnt that stupid. it would be third party and not carry the mario name. there are much better GC games anyway. pinball is essentially no more a semi-entertaining type of game that works best on handheld (that way they're more likely to be around whenever you get bored, at home, the office, etc.) Buying something for your mom is much diff than for others. i dont know about you, but my mom is a bit more peace-loving than i am, and might not enjoy shooter games like metroid prime (that may be a bad example, as she would love the downloadable chozo lore). I recommend games like animal crossing and perhaps pokemon (it puts a bit of a peaceful, loving competition mood around the fighting, and colloseum especially is about 'purifying' evil 'shadow' pokemon. Zelda would be a good choice, despite the hackin & slashin, it has an awesome, 'mystical' storyline. my aunt wants me to take out the details of windwaker into a short story so that she can read it without playing the game.

also, i would recommend getting her a gameboy rather than GameCube, as it harbors more puzzle/adventure/not-so-detailed-blood&gore-graphics that most grown women i know prefer over the typical GC games.

Hi. I got GC recently (platinum rocks!) and I only have a few games. having played through FF 1+2 for gba i know im getting crystal chronicles, as well as metroid prime2, so im fine with 1-p games. but my friends come over alot and we're getting tired of SSBM (yes, its possible) and i wanted to know what multiplayer games i should get (except sport and racing, but mario kart is ok)

Nintendo Gaming / RE:DS Game Idea: POKeMON MMO?

nintendo rehired the same team that eventually got the GCN online (a little too late) to do work with the DS. I doubt you would have to pay for online access (other than the your internet provider). The DS will probably get an online access bundle that comes seperate and works not only as a link for MMO's but also as a wireless range extender that lets you play ordinary link up games over long distances. Nintendo doesn't want us paying for online suff, so why cant they bring it free?

I have a friend with a zodiac. its true that it can emulate DS. however, the screens would be small, perhaps squished, or possibly on seperate windows. as soon as i got the DS it was instantly made clear that gameplay could not be effectivly achieved on a zodiac. it is a great machine, however. as of today my friend has every NES & SNES game ever made, fully playable. hes aiming for GBA next.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Next Generation Nintendo Systems
« on: January 07, 2005, 09:40:42 AM »
I agree. disk based systems are fragile. backwards compatibility isnt going to stop me from buying the revolution, but no matter how many games I get, Im not going to be entertained for the rest of eternity, and it's certainly easier to pop a dif game into the system the to pop a new system into my entertainment unit. Im looking forward to a new controller (perhaps with a touch pad, or a small screen for menus like the gba had in poke colloseum), so i suggest they have ports for GCN controllers at least, as the new ones may very well come wireless. who knows? the DS will have wireless connection to it. anyway, the revolution will have to be compatible with two disc types, since its unlikely that N will repeat the 'mini-disk' mistake.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:DS wi-fi questoins
« on: January 07, 2005, 08:54:23 AM »
The Wi-Fi is just wireless linking to people nearby. I heard that Nintendo hired that same team that (eventually) got the game cube online for work on the DS

Im thinking your computer goes online and has an antena, so if your within the DS's wi-fi range of the comp, then it will become world-wide

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Will FF7 be possible on DS?

I think its possible to use multiple DS cartridges for a game, if they could transfer save info between cards with a GBA cartridge designed as a DS memory card

I already have the DS, and I have my only game is mario, the only good game in the launch lineup (thats right folks, I read reviews! No spiderman2 game- if you can call it a game- is stealing my money!). I can tell I made the right choice (DS, because of its dual screens, is the only system on the market that the Zodiac cant emulate). Nintendo was always my favorite, although i will enjoy games from any company. I think they reign because of their long lasting, lovable characters. any game carrying the mario, zelda, metroid, etc title has my money automatically (except golf, tennis, etc.) Furthermore, games that blend all their characters together, such and mariokart and especially super smash bros. are simply ingenius. the N64 carried some of the best games I've ever played, and holds at least 2 titles that have been seperately claimed as "the best video game ever!". to me, the idea of taking these games anywhere(as well as the touch screen and wireless possibilities) are mindbogeling, so I really wouldn't mind if the games were exact ports of the old ones. of course, I particularly look forward to a wireless super smash bros, as well as pokemon diamond & pearl (more for the new poke generation than for what they will incorperate for the new system). although i will probably get the PSP as well, if only for final fantasy 7. Nintendo is also the most innovative, as stated with the analog stick and the dual screen. its obvious that xbox2 and ps3 are just going to be bigger, stronger machines, but you just never know what the big N will roll next, making each generation most exciting for N fans.

ps sorry for the long message. its my first post, and ive got a lot to say

i think FF7 can fit on a DS card, but the series will probably transfer to the PSP before it reaches num. 7, like it did with the consols
