Games you wish they would make

XBOX2 and PS3 are easy: just bigger, stronger machines. Nintendo, however, is incredibly innovative... you never know what they'll roll out next.

Lately Ive been playing Metroid a lot and I was thinking of how they always show her space ship and you can jump in to save and heal. I think it would be cool if they, at least once, split away from the 'walk around and shoot things' format to a 'fly around and shoot things' type of game. a Metroid flyer in the tradition of Star Wars Rogue Leader. That would be so fun! I love flying games (as long as you shoot stuff, so sims dont count) and I love Metroid, and just think of the crazy weopons they could put on that thing! there would be more of a choice than "do i want red lasers or do i want green lasers?" or "level 1: short range missiles, long range missiles, bombs. level 2: same thing. level 407: nothing new yet."
its like what they did to starfox but in reverse.

I also think that Earthbound should be renewed. isnt Ness the only guy in SSBM that only had one game? they might as well have had a fifth pokemon instead! Earthbound was a great game, and it is deserving of sequels. I believe Ness has the potential to be like Mario and Link: a long living video favorite.

This is my last idea, and more specifically for the DS. Its not really a game.

I think it would be possible to have large DS games on 2 or more cartridges. they could make a GBA cartridge as a memory card. you finish the first game things, download to the GBA mem card, pop in the second game thing, upload, and continue! since the game cartridge can store its, own save file, you only need the mem card for transferring to diff cartridges, which means you could get GBA mem cards seperately and use them for multiple games

1) Metroid is not a flying game, nor will it ever be.  It may have flying sequences in the future, but it will never be another Rougue Leader.

2) Ness is most well known as the star of a quirky little RPG called Earthbound on the SNES.  I believe it was known as "Mother 2" in Japan (implying that there was a 1), and Mother 3 has been scheduled for the GBA to release someday.

3) Not sure I understand this. The DS uses solid state media, the cartridge, therefore it does not need a memory card.  The DS also has a small amount of in-store memory, so if you needed to cartridge-swap, your data could be temporarily stored on the DS and uploaded to the new cartridge.

GTA wont happen (though i hope im wrong)

i want Perfect Dark, or a game with similar mechanics (very similar mechanics)
i like the thought of using mass media storage in the GBA slot, or a game that employs the touchscreen but can be played through the GBA slot (pref. a PDA  program). that would be tesweeet
I'll shut up now...

GTA will happen. The GBA got GTA, since the DS will likely beat the PSP in sales for the next year the DS is a likely platform for another GTA game.

How large of a money hat would you need to keep Rockstar away from THIS MANY potential sales? Binding them to the PS2 is easy since that's the largest market anyway but binding them to the PSP is like trying to bind them to the XBox. The PSP GTA is easy to explain, they can just reuse their PS2 assets, add a few new missions, weapons and cars and can call it a new game.
